The week off from training that Holly had given the team wasn’t much for Jagger. He wanted more time to try to get a little more rest. Each day he had been sleeping less and less. He knew the lack of sleep wasn’t only affecting him but he couldn’t help it. When he laid down at night the sleep just wouldn’t come. When it didn’t the same dream would flash into his mind. So during the day he tried to find way to tire himself out so that when his head hit the pillow sleep would come more easier. Still he came up fruitless in his hunt for a good amount of sleep each night. The last two night no sleep had come at all. He felt like he should want to sleep but couldn’t get himself to. It wasn’t his time with his handler in the hologym but no one was scheduled to use it during that time. He was a mid-weeker when it came to training and the time was usually way earlier. He hadn’t picked it but he didn’t really mind when his training time was scheduled to be. He would just show up. This time it was later in the evening so he thought that killing most of his energy in training would make it so he would sleep tonight. The simulation was just starting up. It was something basic that he was working on the week before they were given time off. It wasn’t that hard but he thought he would get a good work out from it. He wasn’t sure of the level it was at but it felt pretty real when he would get bumped in it. Blink for a second and miss the chance to go intangible. It wasn’t painful but he wouldn’t call it a tickle either. He was doing fairly well at first. Not only working the simulation but when he moved suddenly he would feel as if the room was spinning. He would try to dodge the best that he could but of course the main goal was to sustain being intangible. He barely missed one boulder that was tumbling toward him and jumped to the ground, having to quick phase as one was quickly behind it. He would have been a purple pancake if he hadn't seen it. As he got up the feeling of the room spinning got worse. He could see it rolling toward him and the room started to go black. As he started to fall he was hit and knocked back by the boulder. He didn’t get up from the ground as the simulation continued. |
