Sandy snorted. "I've seen that too," she told him, "don't quite get it. Can't imagine anyone voluntarily or willingly putting themselves somewhere like this." Effectively, America had its own private super army, and Sandy thought that kind of thing was frowned upon in general. But then... Alejandro had told her that supers didn't really have any rights, so maybe that was part of it.
She opened her mouth to say that she couldn't fathom exercise being fun either but remembered how badly Julian had taken to having her comment on things that were inside his head. She was lucky with him, he hadn't held it against her. She didn't know about Aidan, couldn't get a read on him just yet. She didn't want to upset someone she'd just met after all.
"Sandy," she returned after a second, reaching out and shaking his hand. It was an effort for her not to reach into his head, she was so used to doing that with everyone that having to have boundaries here was something she was struggling with a bit. Though as she took the extended hand she couldn't help how one thought that seemingly circulated his head filtered into hers.
She frowned. "How come your powers are turned off?"
