It was a surreal feeling about this whole thing. There was a super playing handler. The other handlers found out. She was recruited to assist them in the take down. Honestly, Cam wanted to do anything but help bring in another super, especially one that had managed to remain hidden in plain sight for so long. Still, she wasn't about to argue with any of them. She had signed up for this, after all, and it was what was keeping her and Jag in relatively the same place.
Still, she'd find a way to use this to her advantage later on.
Even if she was barely holding down her own anxiety over this whole cluster fuck. She still had guilt over testing out her limits on that boy in Las Vegas. Her victim had been stable enough, and her meddling had destroyed him. What would happen if she entered an unstable mind? Not to say she thought Eric was originally unstable, but what was about to happen… well…
She took a deep breath, reading a calming aura to push out once everything started. She tried to reach out, softly, carefully, to feel Eric’s mental and emotional state.
Exhaustion. Grief. Regret. Depression.
Resignation.
Something’s wrong she projected into the heads into those gathered for the mission. Then something was happening on the inside. She couldn’t quite pick up on his exact thoughts but he was definitely doing something in preparations of their arrival. He knows we’re here.
