It didn't matter how much sugar Dove put into her coffee: Avery had seen people take more. She still didn't understand the coffee obsession herself but she drank it because it did help wake her up and the warm drink was often comforting.
"Just wanted to check. Sometimes it's a little unexpected for the people that I don't warn."
She took a deep breath and flexed her fingers, reaching out carefully and covering Dove's hand with her own. She felt her skin beginning to tingle and her eyes closed, head tilted to the side slightly like she was listening to something. The skin on her upper arm started to glow as her powers were activated. With just that light touch, her ability stretched out through Dove’s body looking for injuries, aches and pains, righting wrongs and mending muscle tears and ligament damage along with early signs of joint wear from repetitive actions and motions from her youth. The warmth, a pooling and pleasant sensation, pushed its way through Dove as the damage was reversed with only the slightest of sharp sensations, leaving her pretty much as good as new.
After the glow had transferred from Avery and diffused into Dove's body, she withdrew carefully. Her right hand blossomed in dark bruises and a sharp pain crawled up her arm when she pulled her hands away, withdrawing quickly enough in an attempt to hide it.
