Juliet & David
Her incentive for pushing for a field trip and then volunteering as a chaperone on it had been purely personal bias. This was her first Valentine's with her husband in the four years since his disappearance, and she wanted a chance to celebrate him under more normal circumstances than Limbo could provide, even if still felt unnatural. She wanted them to have a happy outing. She wanted to see him happy--and sure as hell not fighting.
Juliet did good about behaving herself on the way there, and for part of the trip, but before long she made her way over to David. Not everyone knew about the pairing, because they hadn't made any public announcements that they were a married couple. It was an unspoken sort of thing. On Juliet's end, it was to avoid as much awkwardness with coworkers and her unit as she could. She also didn't want to look as if she were trying to score some favoritism for him, no matter how tempted she had been. The last thing she wanted was for this to be some test and David snatched away from her again for failing it. But when they were out of the facility, and on a trip, that was different. Right?
Walking up beside him, Juliet slipped her hand in his while keeping her gaze on the various agents. They wouldn't be there if they hadn't behaved well enough to earn it, so she had little worry of anything going wrong, but she liked to at least keep up appearances that she was checking in on them every so often. "When was the last time either of us ice skated?" she asked her husband, glancing at him with a smile tugging at her lips.
