Bear & Dove
The outing was definitely a fun time; Dove almost felt like a regular teenager again, back at school, going on trips. Obviously it was a little different, but the novelty of getting out of the base and into the real world for a while, it really brought a pep to her step.
She'd gotten to ice skate, before she'd ended up finding Bear fishing in the most peculiar of ways, even if he'd still managed to catch the most fish she'd ever seen. It really looked like they were all embracing the trip for what it was, which was encouraging to see too. She liked the feel of being out and having some degree of freedom.
The campfire was a welcome warmth to the chill, and the s'mores were even better. Taking the stick that Bear offered her, picking some of the gooey marshmallow goodness off the end, careful of burning herself, Dove tried not to make too much of a mess as she ate the candy. "A fort would melt though, you'd need a lot of marshmallows for that, and you'd need to keep building it." It'd be fun, but probably insanely unhealthy. "Have you never had marshmallow fluff? Like, the jar that's just melted down marshmallows like a spread?"
