Tansy frowned slightly at the reminder of a fire alarm, glancing up at the ceiling with a sigh. "So I probably shouldn't just create some fire to cook them on, then?" she asked, sadly. She hadn't really been planning on it, but so far these treats were taking a lot more of her time than she felt they were worth - and they'd probably turn out horrible, anyway. "I don't know why I thought I could bake," she said. "I've never baked before, but I assumed it couldn't be that hard. The recipe didn't look complicated." She had never been barred from any of the cooking equipment, but that was quite possibly because she'd never really used any of it before today. Why bother, when the food provided was decent? "The oven is on," she insisted, gesturing to the dial which indicated the oven was at the correct temperature. "I don't need to... plug it in first, or something, do I?" Tansy had no idea, but she wasn't afraid of looking stupid because she didn't know something. She had plenty of other useful skills.
"How's your teaching dancing going?" she asked, vaguely remembering having seen messages about Nicky looking for people who wanted to learn. "Are you enjoying it?" It had occurred to Tansy that she was probably both old enough and experienced enough to teach gymnastics, but she didn't know if she was really patient enough to teach. "I've been doing archery on Sunday mornings, that's quite fun." Tansy liked the concentration it required - it reminded her of her own powers, which she could only use when she was focused.
