True to his word the big guy made no effort to move at all from his spot; instead he just stood there towering over her, slowly sipping his beer as he watched her attack. There was no judgement, no chuckling or teasing, at the way she came at him. Even as she lightly struck him that body of his remained still...like an immovable wall of steel hardened muscle. Patiently he waited and watched. Studying her movements with a keen eye, not stopping her efforts at all until the last of his beer was finished.
With a single hand raised he gestured for her to stop, and in silence he moved to set down the beer bottle, and strip off his shirt before finally moving back in front of the young woman...offering a soft smile at last. "Not bad, little bird. You are fit, and agile. Both are good things. Can see some raw potential for sure." The question of where to begin gave Bear pause, but at last he nodded to himself and slowly moved to stand behind her.
One massive arm reached around her frame, fingers moving across her arm until her hand was in his. Instead of saying anything he just gently helped her make a proper fist, before repeating the same with her other hand too. "When you throw a punch, make sure your fists are like this...it'll help you avoid breaking a finger or thumb." With that done he moved to stand before her again and smiled again. "So starting with the real easy basics here. First up is the rule of halves." That hand of his was outstretched again, this time pointing at her head and gesturing down to her toes.
"When you hit someone, picture their body, then halve it. That'll always be their weakest spots." To demonstrate the large massive man just pointed at her body; first halving it completely and gesturing to her groin. Then from the groin and head he gestured again, showing her that the sternum was the next weak spot. After that Bear went from the Sternum to head, pointing out her throat as the next spot in the chain. And once more from the head to the throat, it was the eyes and ears. "So when it comes to punching, just pick one of those spots on the torso and strike. Doesn't have to be hard, just accurate." Bear smiled to her, and after fishing out his goggles and slipping them on, the big guy gestured for her to throw punches at him.
