Sandy was too tired to argue or to protest that she was being touched. Rachel, it seemed, wasn’t about to force her to do anything right now. That was good. And a discussion around her abilities and training was something for her future self to worry about. She wondered how much they knew... if there was some way she could get that information without actually asking. Maybe she’d just suggest that they work one power at a time? She’d never exhibited all of her abilities and she’d not run into a super with the power to detect her powers before. So maybe they didn’t know?
Ugh, too much thinking.
“Thanks,” she mumbled as they approached the door to her room because she did have some manners. “I’ll be here, y’know, when it’s time to talk training or whatever.”
She pushed open the door and walked into the dark room, waving over her shoulder at the woman.
She seemed nicer than the last one. That was something.
When she fell face first into the bed, it took her less than five minutes to be quite literally dead to the world.
