She'd thought sarcasm was a lost artform around here, how everyone would have a stick up their asses or whatever. The bell comment got the smallest smile out of her, just the quirk of her mouth on the left side. "Only if you can't work around the bell. I don't think you need to be sneaking on people during down time though, right? Besides, if your only use is popping up on people, you might need to re-evaluate."
She knew there were a bunch of movies, games all that shit, and Ruby might enjoy them at some point. But there were usually a bunch of other people around, and she knew that if she spaced out too much, she might start projecting and she wasn't settled enough to feel at all comfortable leaving her body with a bunch of strangers. The mere idea of it had the hair at the back of her neck prickling. "I'm not really into the public cinema aspect of things." And she didn't need people giving her shit about her conspiracy theory interest.
Under normal circumstances, she'd slide into comment about her limited but potentially growing telekinesis, make a joke or two about computers frying your brain and Big Brother, even though she was literally inside the Big Brother movement now. But it all just dropped flat the minute he mentioned Jade. "You're Jade's Handler?" She hadn't really heard anything bad about the handlers, none of them seemed to be raging assholes, no one was being punished for just breathing wrong, but it still irked her a little. "Aren't you meant to want us out there, protecting you little normal folks like we're just some new kind of gun?"
