This was why the super speed would be a bad idea for her right then. Startling a little, Ruby missed a step on the treadmill and had to catch her footing a little before slowing it down to come off. If she'd done that at speed she'd be in the wall, and Ruby didn't heal herself, because apparently she didn't get fun things like that.
"Ever heard of squeaking when you walk?" She wasn't overly surprised someone else would show up, it was a gym, what else was there to really do around here. The machine slowed to a walk and then a stop and Ruby ducked under to smack off the radio to avoid explaining that shit too.
Ruby wasn't too pleased with the idea that she'd be expected to fight in general, never mind that they'd expect something different from her over all, or maybe they expected different from all of them, it was hard to say. She didn't have a great opinion of the Regiment program anyway. "Maybe I just like running? Maybe it clears my head?"
She ran out of things to do, and arguments to make, so Ruby stiffly crossed her arms over her chest, jaw clenched. "Efficient like what? Moving mountains with my mind powers? Sneaking into places with my out of body wonders?" Honestly, she was a little curious as to just what was expected of her and her powers.
