A stalker, Lucas would claim he was not. Simply just someone who was looking to make a situation much better for someone else in the long run. He didn't want to say that Jade was "top priority" with how many people that he took care of in his team. How many people he had to worry about. People who weren't aware of how much he truly worried over them when they weren't around or paying attention. To most people, he couldn't care less. Which was what he was going for in the long-run. That he didn't care about the agents or the other handlers. But that was something that would be looked at for another day and certainly other people than him who had far more important things in mind.
Which was also something for another day.
Seeing through Lucas' facade was easy. Sometimes the mask would slip and people could see the 'marshmallow' as Holly so fondly referred to him as when the subject of their agents came up. Ruby's presence here was just as much as his responsibility as Jade's and while he could just let live and let live. There was a certain pull to be around either one of them to make sure they made it through this ordeal like a silent champion of their needs when her own handler wasn't around or there to discuss with her.
Lucas leaned against the door frame and folded his arms across his chest while he watched her run. "For the sake of constructive criticism, I'll let you be aware they'll want you for more talents than who can do the faster 2k." He smiled from where he was standing, walking a bit stiffly for his taste from the recent spar with Bear that was just going to tell him that he shouldn't have done what he did. As much as he was well aware that everyone had told him that as he started walking towards the treadmill. "Despite the fact that we do want our agents physically fit and ready for a fight. You won't be fighting the same way as other people."
Lucas stopped short of the treadmill, tucking his hands into his pockets as he looked over Ruby for a moment. "I can suggest something a little more efficient if you want me to? Entirely up to you. You can learn it from me or have it scheduled sometime later on."
