"Don't make me offer a third time, Juniper." She said with a smirk. Not that Mira would do anything, but she honestly loved to cook and any excuse to use food to make someone's day... she took it. "Besides, cooking is my favorite thing to do in the world. So you're actually doing me a favor."
The red woman turned and moved back into the direction of the kitchen. "So, clearly something warm... grilled cheese? Tomato soup? Egg Sandwich? Whats your preference?" She'd learned that everyone had different foods that reminded them of home, or family and while there were so many there was also a little overlap. She smiled widely as she approached the kitchen door. "Can you smell that?" She asked as the scent of fresh baked sugar cookies and brownies hit her. "They're starting to work on deserts for the week leading up to the holiday." She glanced back at the girl. "Don't tell anyone, but we're making a different dessert for every day, just to brighten everyone's day."
