Juniper took a couple of steps closer, her talons clicking gently and primary feathers rustling as they brushed across on the floor as she walked. Carefully, she took the outstretched hand and curled her own around it, shaking Mira's hand.
"I'm Juniper," she offered quietly. "It's nice to meet you." She let go of Mira's hand and scratched her wing again. Showering always made them itchy. She supposed that was why birds just used little baths. Well, that and birds didn't live in houses. "You really don't have to... I don't want to be trouble. It looked like you were leaving for the night."
