Ok, so Sinjin felt a little bad there. Bear was a friend, and it was a fucking .50 caliber round at point blank range. He knew Bear would be just fine, but still Sin winced. Holding the rifle in one hand was it pointed to the ground, finger off the trigger, Sin approached. Offering his hand to Bear once the big guy was ready to get up. He really did feel bad!
"About... eight... maybe ten feet if we're generous." Sin said, shrugging a bit. He didn't measure, but Sin figured it was a fair guess. He then moved back to the table to replace the rifle. One shot was enough. The armor was pretty damn good, standing up until the rifle blasted through. Not even Sin's shielding could hold up to that.
"Sane is a relative term, Ben. I mean, to me you're insane. I mean, you saw how we were just in light conversation. You should have known it wouldn't..." Sin saw Bear go for the chainsaw and his eyes went big. He shifted, about to run for it but he noticed too late. "Fuck." He went down and stayed down with Bear's boot on him. "Shit! You crazy ass mother fucker!" Sin yelled as he did indeed get his glow on.
"You're fucking batshit insane, you goddamn Jason wannabe!" This time when Bear went at him, Sin was not quiet. There was no bracing needed. Not hits to be taken. Just a fucking chainsaw to the plastic armor. With Bear roaring and looking demented. Sin had skewed trust in people. Trusting no one, not even Bear, completely. And even if it was, say, Sin's dad? This moment would still terrify him. "You're the demented fucking love child of Jason and Freddy, Jesus Fucking Christ!" By this time Sin's eyes were closed. The thirty seconds couldn't end fast enough.
When it was done and over with, chest plate showing significant scratches and gouged from the teeth of the saw tearing at it under Bear's strength pressing down on it, Sin had to take a moment. Shake out his arms, close his eyes and take a deep breath. then he was moving to the table. Last one, and it was on. He grabbed a helmet and threw it to Bear.
"Flame on." Then Sin was reaching for the flamethrower. He let Bear get the helmet on and all his hair safely covered before taking aim. "If I have nightmares from that, Bear, I'll... find a way to pay you back for that." And then he was shooting the stream of flames right at Bear. Though Sin was pretty sure this was just plain fun to the other man and nothing near being able to be payback for that horrendous experience.
As he shot flames at Bear Sin glanced back at Ben. "Please tell me you remembered the liquor?"
