Penny laughed softly as well before shaking her head. "Sometimes, I'm not sure that's true. We get cycled through these places so much." She was so glad that she had never had to be transferred. Leaving her old life and now her old team were hard enough. "I would like to be able to see my old friends. They got me through some of the worst things."
It felt really good to hear a handler acknowledge that this wasn't the life that they would choose for themselves. "I used to think of what I would be doing if I wasn't here," she admitted. "When I was a kid it was practically all that I could think about." She had decided that she would probably have been a teacher or something similar. Anything that would not make her have to hurt people on a regular basis. "I do understand that. I just..."
Penny frowned deeply. "I really hate guns."
Looking around, she gestured for Holly to follow her to a clearing. Making sure that she wouldn't hurt anyone or damage any property, Penny clenched her fist and looked up to the sky. Focusing on getting taller, she could feel her bones begin to stretch as her body began to elongate.
