Self-harm? For most, harm while dancing wasn't intentional. There were a hardcore few who threw their bodies so hard into it that they managed to hurt themselves, but those people were psychos. Nicolette was somewhere in the center of that chart. She trained too hard to get the unintentional injuries, but could push herself hard enough that she managed to hurt herself in that process.
"I mean, you could say that, but I don't think that's quite on the same level as tasing yourself for fun."
She turned her attention back to her knives and began packing them all back into their case. She was lucky enough to have the kind of classification that allowed her to not have to have a handler on duty when she was using a weapon. Her rank was akin to the prisoners that could be allowed out of the prison on work release. They were trusted to a certain point and, if she wasn't careful with everything, she would lose that trust. That was why she followed guidelines. She'd already lost quite a few privileges through the years and wasn't about to have to fight to get them all back again.
"I still say it's a good idea to get a hobby. Maybe find one where you can actually socialize and you might smile more often." Again, with the button pushing. She was one to talk though. Isolation was how she processed things. "I still don't have many people taking me up on my offer for dancing lessons." It was both a statement and a suggestion. "Or do you have no rhythm and so you're afraid to learn?"
