Kat settled down on making another snippy comment. She knew that pain and death wasn't as easy for everyone else to deal with, especially some of the younger kids that were rolling through the doors lately. "The field... has it's ups and downs. Think ... X-Men but not. I don't know. It's not as bad as it seems." She was surprised the girl didn't know much about being in the field but Kat also was't privvy to every mission and who went where.
"Has that ever worked? The whole saving people business seems a little ambitious behind these walls." Kat wasn't sure if the girl could see possible futures or if she was seeing things that were set in stone. There were always variations in the powers they all seemed to have. One eyebrow shot up again when Abby started explaining what she did to make her future visions come to fruition. "Christ.. Go figure they weren't happy."
Kat noted that Abby kept touching her arms and gave her a blank stare. "Stop rubbing your arms. They aren't going anywhere. And sit down. I don't bite hard." She scooted over on the couch to make room for Abby. "I'm Kat. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just be glad it was the apple and popcorn that blew up and not something else."
