"Well," she said with a small smile, "I've been stuck in worse places." And that was true; she had been stuck in the hospital wing for a week once, and the entire time would've been brightened by Toby's presence. She was very comfortable with him, obviously as she had hopped into his lap, and she didn't even think that perhaps Toby was questioning it all in his head.
"No, well, okay." She looked at him curiously. She noticed this time that he was avoiding her question, and his evasiveness was not a pleasant surprise. She wanted to know what happened! And she would, frankly. "Toby," she said softly, looking at him with a very concerned look on her face. "What happened?" she questioned again, hoping this time to elicit an answer.
Georgia nearly snorted with laughter. Oh, he was really playing this up. "You're kidding right? Bernard? Seductive? He'd be better off taking lessons from you!" After she said it, Georgia had an odd feeling in her her belly that she had just insulted both of them, but she hoped that perhaps she hadn't and that Toby wouldn't realize it, if she had. "You're lucky I'm no good at hexing." She smiled, happy with just leaving idle threads."
"Well, Remus said he would still help me, he just doesn't want to be called Vice President. It's interesting, and valiant, kind of." She smiled at the thought. This whole, book club thing was really getting off the ground. It was terribly exciting, frankly! Hmm, the thrill of it all.
"James...?" Georgia repeated back to him, not realizing what he was asking for. Her thoughts took a moment to reconnect and she laughed at her own stupidity. "Potter! Isn't he in your year? He seemed interested, surprisingly. I kind of always thought Sign Language was kind of boring to people who didn't need it. Not that I need it..." Her thoughts trailed off and she watched him looking away from her. Well, sometimes it was hard to look at people who were directly in front of you.
