For a moment, when she got up, he thought she was going to leave. It was a silly thought, considering she had called his attention.
What came next surprised him more than it should have. He just let her push him into the chair, receiving the weight of her body on his lap like it was something normal.
Toby didn't think it was normal. He isn't used to people sitting on his lap, especially after being stood up. Either way, he wasn't going to complain. Not at all. Georgia didn't seem annoyed, so why would he say anything about it?
A grin appeared on his lips.
"Hm, I cheered for the first years as well, I didn't eat much, but whatever." He sighed, crossing his arms, having nothing better to do with them. "You know, Carlotta was in my house for ten days. That was the good part of the summer." He's quick to add, "It wasn't bad when you came over either." He thought about saying something alluding to how awful it was to spend so much time with Bernard, however, he was sure she wouldn't agree with him. Georgia had a crush on his brother, or so he thought, and maybe they had dated already - or were dating - who knows?
When she asked about the books, he froze. Being in a club meant being involved with people. Many people. However, it also meant spending a lot of time with someone he actually liked. Even if Georgia liked Bernard, Toby appreciated the times he and Georgia hung out.
He looked away before answering, "Yes. I think so."
