He raised a single eyebrow at his comment, not taking it as a joke at first. For a long moment, he stared at the other man, not liking the way that he joked about the gift he had just offered. Sure, he was hoping for something in return, but that didn't mean that he was okay with being offended like that. But the laugh off MacNair's lips elevated the sudden offense, and he grinned suddenly, deciding that it was it was just a joke after all.
"You know I only offer the best. I thought you'd be able to taste that, no?" he said, brandishing his own bottle for popping the top off to take a swig himself. While he could see the love that people held for this beverage, he knew that it would never taste as good or have the same effects as drinking human blood. There was just nothing like it. But he would never completely ward off the human pleasures.
He leaned toward him, staring at him darkly. "I'm looking for someone. Or I suppose I should say in order to entice your interest... some creature. A particular werewolf. Think you could help me?"
