Playlist - Akito/Agito/Lind Wanijima Anastasia soundtrack - At The Beginning: One of the songs I connect with Akgi's relationship. They care about each other more than anyone else, and no matter what happens they'll always be there for one another. They mean too much to each other, and neither will ever let the other go.
Axel Rudi Pell - Nightmare: Dark and heavy song! This one is pretty much Agito all the way. He taunts, he sneers, and he plays with his prey like a sadist. He's the one rider in the AT world you really don't want to face. He's pretty much the fear in the night, the Fang King who can't be beaten.
It can also go with Lind, should you manage to tick him off. He's worse than Agito to face when he's angry.
Axxis - Heaven in Black: This is kind of an outside viewpoint on Akgi, perhaps from Lind's point of view, but really for anyone who cares about the two.
"Heaven in Black Heaven in White Loving the darkness and the light."
The second part of the chorus is similar, with day and night. With Akito being the light and day, and Agito the dark and night it really suits the two of them. It shows how the two of them bring different things to peoples' lives, and make them better somehow.
Link. Acoustic version, not my favourite, but you get the idea.
BACK-ON - Chain: Obligatory opening song for the AG anime! It's always struck me as an AT song, which naturally makes me think of Kogarasumaru, Akgi's team, which reminds me of them X3
Brother Bear soundtrack - Look Through My Eyes: Take a guess - yup, it's Aki XD Considering the obscene amount of time he takes to convince people that everything will be fine...well. He's always got everyones' best interests at heart, and his optimism tends to leek over to anyone talking to him. He knows not everything is okay, but he's sure, certain even, that one day things will be fine and good again.
"There's a better place somewhere out there."
It's pretty much a really good song for him XD Eternally optimistic and happy~
Brother Bear soundtrack - Welcome: Works for anyone happy, works for Akito! Also works somewhat for Agito and Lind, when they co-operate. Especially Akito though. He shares everything he has with everyone else, and cares about everyone ever. He adopts people on a dime, and loves them just as much as his blood-related family. And he loves his others, and they love him, even if they tease him a lot X3
Darren Hayes - Listen All You People: "Listen all you people All you lonely and deserted The departed and broken hearted I've got time for you. You can call your friends For we're headed on a journey..."
Again, Akito's willingness to talk to and care about EVERYONE EVER. Even if you've got bad habits! He'll just worry about you and try to help. Together people can do anything, right? Right!
Delta Goodrem - Last Night On Earth: I have strange tastes in artists, I know. But this one is a big time hitter for Akito and Agito.
"Time was never on our side" - Agito knows he's doomed to fade away, and Akito hates it
"If tomorrow never comes I want you to know right now that I I'm gunna love you until the day I die"
MAJOR Akgi pings there. No matter what happens to either of them, they'll care about each other until the end of time itself. It's also rather pingy for their ship, but that's me personally, so.
It also works for Lind and Kaito, though not so much in Marina lately. He'll still care about Kaito for forever though.
Evanescence - Bring Me To Life: Kind of a darker one, dark Akito and Agito or Akito and Lind. Agito and Lind both know Akito to the core, well enough to predict his actions before he can do it. He needs them to survive, and they're capable of bringing him back from just about anything. Akito would die without Agito, literally just waste away. And without Lind, Akito would be afraid forever of whatever could kill him. He can't lose either of them, and they can't lose him.
Evanescence - Imaginary: Very, very dark Akito song. This one deals with Akito right after Kaito's betrayal, when he's locked himself into his mind and is refusing to come out.
"I linger in the doorway Of alarm clocks screaming, monsters calling my name. Let me stay Where the wind will whisper to me Where the raindrops as they're falling tell the story."
Fun fact, my headcanon has Akito as suicidal after Kaito's betrayal. He was hurting so much that he'd become nothing. A no one.
"Don't say I'm out of touch With this rampant chaos, your reality I know now what lies beyond my sleeping refuge The nightmare I built my own world to escape"
"Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming..."
Various lyrics, that really kind of pick Akito's moodset right after Kaito hurt him. It's why he's endlessly optimistic and happy. He's been that low before, and he hates it. He hates every memory of it, to the point where Agito and Lind have no memory of it. He never allowed them access to that part of his mind. He can't stand it. So he's forever happy to banish that thought, to keep the hurt inside. And he helps others because he never, ever wants to see anyone else get like the way he was.
Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack - Will to Fight: Lyricless background track. The name and sound though ping me for Agito, not for his endless bloodthirsty nature. But for his willingness to fight for what he believes in, to protect Akito.
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris: Agito song, this one. Basically one he'd sing to Akito. He's a monster, he knows it. He's going to fade away eventually. And he doesn't want to bother with a world that doesn't understand him. He just wants to stay in this one place with Akito. So long as Akito understands him, knows the true him, he's content to remain with that. It's all he needs. Nothing more.
Italo Brothers - Stamp On The Ground: Dancing song, fuck yeah! This song makes me want to go find a DDR machine and rock out, and Akito loves his DDR so much, he does. He'd drag Agito up with him and thoroughly enjoy himself with this bouncy, jumpy, energetic song~
Vocaloid: Kaito - Paprika ED: Which is not the name of the song, but fuck that, it's called that in Media Player, so! Note that I cannot translate the lyrics for this, so it's totally based on the tune.
ANYWAY. This is an Agito song, with Akito in the female sections. It's kind of a passing time song. Something Akito would con Agito into singing for him when Aki was feeling unwell and wanted to listen to his other's voice.
Also the translate thing is for all Vocaloid songs, unless I mention otherwise.
Vocaloid: Kaito - Meltdown: ...idk, Kaito's voice makes me think of Agito for some reason.
The title and song makes me think of this as a mental one, when Agito was in his mind and figuring things out. Akito can mentally overload him a lot, and he's technically only three, so emotional overload is common with him. This would be him in his mind, getting the thoughts figured out, the background tunes the light around changing with the thoughts.
Vocaloid: Kaito & Akaito - Double Singer: Pretty much an Akgi song, emphasising how they're different, and yet they think the same things sometimes and agree. And it's kind of a funny song, so XD
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil soundtrack - Run! Run! Run!: Short song! Fun and bouncy and how no matter how hard he tries, on AT with Akito at his peak Agito will never ever catch him. Chasing song~
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil soundtrack - Mirage: This song plays in the game when you're riding down a thin trail to the next area, where everything's warped and crazy. Laughing can be heard every now and then, child-like and a little bit crazy/sad/all of the above.
This makes me think of travelling through Agito's mind, where there are so many memories. And the laughter comes from his childlike delight at the carnage that comes from his battles.
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile soundtrack - Dawn over Dawn & Dark into Dark: These two songs alternate for the length of the track, starting with Dawn. Dawn is a good time in the game, progress is easy. Dark is horrible, when the enemies are invulnerable.
It's basically a representation of Akito and Agito, and the changing how they can switch at a moment's notice.
Vocaloid: Len - Asymmetry: I actually do know the translation for this one! There's two Len's, and one feels unworthy and dirty, someone the other shouldn't touch.
That's Agito's belief that his other shouldn't be near him when he's fighting, and how he battles for Akito. The final verse has the other Len, Akito in this case, trying to find Agito after he's disappeared and wanting him to come back.
Link. With Spanish subs for some reason. Couldn't find the English.
Vocaloid: Len - Yanderenka: Crazy person song in the translation. This is Akito when you make him mad. Merciless and even worse than Agito to be around. He can hurt and destroy in a heartbeat.
Linkin Park - One Step Closer: Shut up, I know LP is a common playlist thing, but their songs are so good and fitting.
This one's pretty much any of them close to snapping and killing someone. Push them too far and they'll break, mentally snapping and going on a rampage.
Linkin Park - Burning in the Skies: This one I see as Lind, funnily enough. He uses and abuses people without a second though, no matter who they are. One day he'll no doubt get what he deserves, but for now he'll continue to use them.
Naruto anime OP - Kanashimi wo Yasashisa ni: Everyone's uniqueness can be used as strength, no matter what your past is. This is something Akito believes in, and will never forget.
Matchbox Twenty - Unwell: Matt's fault. But it does suit any MPD who's other is somewhat murderous XD
Even if you don't like one of Akgido's sides, eventually they'll change back. And then it's when they'll hope you don't judge them for their others sins.
Matchbox Twenty - How Far We've Come: Nutshell, this is basically seeing how Akgido's relationship is going at the very end of things. When things are about to go hell. Rock falls, everyone's about to die. This is them wondering how things have gone over their lives.
Nickelback - Savin' Me: Agito song, kind of a...I dunno, debating whether he's worth it? Needing Akito to confirm that he's needed. Needing to learn from him that he's worth saving from his own self doubt and fear. Agito's terrified of Akito saying he's not needed anymore, so this song represents that.
Nickelback - If Everyone Cared: I see this as a song for if/when Akito and Agito were split apart. Agito's song, with the wonder if the world could be how Akito wishes it was. He's alive after everything though, so maybe now he can help Akito make that world.
Nickelback - Gotta Be Someone: Akito song all the way. He's one of those people who's forever wondering about that one person he'll spend forever with. He's a bit hopeless XD But it's something he thinks about a lot, so that's this song!
Nickelback - Never Gonna Be Alone: Soon after Agito's birth, or just after Akito begins to trust him. Reassurance that Akito can always and forever lean on Agito, trusting him with anything. And that he won't ever leave Akito's side.
Oddly, it can also work in reverse, for when Agito's depressed and down, and Akito goes to him instead.
Nickelback - If Today Was Your Last Day: A little more of Akito's optimism! It's an unusual way to see it, but basically saying how every day is something to be treasured. It also goes with Agito's personal idea of not worrying about the future, just take each day as it comes. Worrying just wears you down, and shouldn't be something to do.
Nickelback - Hero: Unusual this. I see it kind of as Agito song, before getting out of the cage. He isn't going to follow the lines of the typical story Akito's no doubt told him a hundred times. He's going to save them his own way, in his own style.
Nickelback - How You Remind Me: This one's a nasty one, Akito to Kaito when Akito's particularly down about how Kaito's using him. No matter how much he tries, Kaito has this habit of reminding him exactly who and what he was raised to be. But sometimes that's not always a bad thing, since occasionally Kaito's nice about it. It varies.
Owl City - To The Sky: Happy Akito song! He loves this thing to do with flying I swear. Anything to do with it, he's all over. So this song is his love of the sky, whether it's just open air or flying on AT.
Owl City - Fireflies: This is sort of a dreamy Akito song. Time just goes too fast, and Akito loves staying in the moment and keeping it close to his memories.
"I'd like to make myself believe, That planet Earth turns slowly. It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep, 'Cause everything is never as it seems."
The song is amazing to listen to, and it's one of my favourites that pings me for him. Akito would like nothing more than to spend more time with his friends and family, and keep all those memories close. The world is a crazy place, but he loves it all the same.
"I'd like to make myself believe, That planet Earth turns slowly. "It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep. Because my dreams are bursting at the seems..."
Pokemon 2000 soundtrack - Dreams: I have lots of inspirational Akito songs, yes. This one's Akito's belief that no matter what it is, so long as you believe in it, you can make it come true~
Pokemon 2000 soundtrack - Flying Without Wings: This one...can be any of them really. A song about that one thing that you're looking for above all, that special feeling that comes from a bond to another. It can come from any of the trio, because they all feel it.
Pokemon 3: Spell of the Unown - To Know the Unknown: Akito song once more! This one...heh, so easy with him. He doesn't care for your past, your future. He doesn't need to know what life's going to bring or not.
"Don't want all the answers, 'Cause one thing is true. As long as my heart beats, I'll always love you. So I don't need to know The unknown."
Once he cares about you, that's all that matters. Secrets may need to be kept, and he won't mind. He just wants to be able to spend time with you. Because love is all that matters.
Reba McEntire - What If: Another of the wanting to change the world songs. But what if...what if it could be changed? Akito would like nothing more than a world where everyone got along, and everyone was happy.
Vocaloid: Ren & Len - Trick and Treat: Bratty song for Akito and Agito, go! Dunno the translation of this one either, but it's a fun and tricksy song~ So I'd imagine this would be a situation where Akgi are tag-teaming someone, being absolute brats and enjoying themselves thoroughly.
Savage Garden - Crash and Burn: Akito and Agito again. I kind of see this as more Akito to Agito though.
"Give me a moment please, To tame your wild, wild heart."
The world is a cruel place, and Agito was born to be in the worst of it, a tool, a killer. On an emotionally young person, that's going to hurt after awhile. So while he was protecting Akito, Akito will forever be the silent strength to help him through all of this. It works in reverse, from Agito to Akito, but I like it most as Akito to Agito.
Scorpions - We Were Born To Fly: ...funnily, I see this as a Lind song. It's a very lonerish kind of song. And it's reassuring too. Reminding his little brothers that while they're unsure about him, it doesn't matter what the world says. Akito, Agito, even himself. They're all born into a world of AT, and they were meant to fly in it. Sometimes it just takes another person telling you to show it. It also works to Kaito, in a sense. No matter what happens, no one can take that away. Even in the deepest, darkest depression...everyone was born to fly. And together anyone can accomplish it.
Scorpions - We Will Rise Again: Lind again, but this one's slightly more obvious. He's Gazelle reborn, and even though it's similar to a sin against nature, and it's even wrong in some ways that he still cares for Kaito, he doesn't care. His own death in that old life won't stop him from protecting the one he loves most of all.
"Angels on fire, they fall from the sky. Heaven and hell will be burning tonight. Covered in ashes I call out your name. And out of the flames We will rise again."
And that revenge that they'll seek will be the sweetest thing indeed.
Shinedown - Better Version: Harsh song, for when Akgi were still caged. Kaito only ever wanted one or the other of them at a time, depending on the lesson or mission. So when he so idly tosses the eyepatch aside, causing hurt and hatred at the casual treatment of them. They aren't a tool, and it's horrible the way they're treated as one. And sometimes it's just too much.
Shinedown - Stranger Inside: Akito, right after Agito's birth. He can't trust the dark, feeling horrible about the split in his mind. The things Agito does, that are so different to what Akito himself does...he has a stranger living inside him. And he's not sure that he likes it.
Shinedown - Devour: Agito and Lind song, whenever that persona of Fang King comes up. They're cruel and merciless, and have a love for just taking everything away from their prey and shredding it to pieces when its helpless. Toys to be played with, to be used in their fun. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it's their playtime and they won't let anyone else to tell them otherwise.
Shinedown - Sound of Madness: And then you take that merciless terror they give and ramp it up to eleven and add in a dose of creepy and flat out enjoyment at tearing a person down into absolutely nothing.
"I created the sound of madness, Wrote the book on pain."
That's Lind when he's really into it, when you've ticked him off to the point where he won't be happy until he's torn you down mentally by destroying all you love in front of you, and only then playing with you, until you're no more enjoyment to him and he puts you out of your misery.
Shinedown - Sin with a Grin: Any of them, this one, when you've pushed them that bit too far and they've decided their own personal thoughts on things don't matter anymore. What does matter is teaching you your place at their feet, preferably while beating you bloody at the same time, if they don't kill you outright.
"You lit the fuse inside my head." Thank-you for reminding me of why I'm sick inside... ...These scars I scratch, I tear, are there. Under my skin, where you've always been. Thank-you for reminding me to sin with a grin."
Each of them have breaking point, and once they reach it, nothing else matters but teaching you your lesson.
"I have not one shred of sympathy. I have no use for apology."
Shinedown - Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide: Push Lind about the past he shares with Gazelle, try to make him remember it and relive it, and this is what you get. A Lind that's purely instinctive about his rather happy desire to remove you from his life. Yes, Gazelle killed herself. Yes, it's quite possible that he could do the same to himself if he had to. But he isn't going to without killing you first.
Shinedown - Beyond the Sun: An understanding song between any of the three. No matter what, they'll do whatever they have to together. Their soul is connected by their bond, and they will help each other reach that place that seems just out of reach.
Air Gear anime OST - Fear 4 Terror: No lyrics song. The one I remember this for is it plays when Akito and Agito are talking on top of the battle ground just before meeting Ikki for the first time. As such, it's associated with them, and their talking to one another, with each harsh beat being a switch of the eyepatch.
Air Gear anime OST - Chain [Magnificentral Mix]: This is a very dream achieved like lyricless mix of Chain. This is any of them finding that one thing they needed, any of them realising that yes, they can reach that sky...
Air Gear anime OST - Chain [Underwater Mix]: Lyricless, a duller one. Thoughtful song, wondering about the future and what it may bring, and thinking on people who are important to them.
Air Gear anime OST - Snapped: Agito's battle song >3 This is Agito doing what he does best, shredding people apart and enjoying it as he does. Screw being a tool for Kaito or a member of Kogarasumaru. Give him a fight and he's a happy shark.
Air Gear anime OST - Betrayal 303: Lyricless. This is Kaito getting in Akgi's way, telling them that that's something they aren't allowed to do. Being thrown back into that cage, being treated as the pet and tool they were raised to be.
Air Gear anime OST - Master Buster: Battle theme! Winning or losing, it's something that's important and has to be done. And Agito will get it done.
Sonic and the Secret Rings soundtrack - Unawakening Float: This is kind of a despairing song.
"Must it float away? Will I ever win?"
"The fault is mine."
"In this place that has no sun."
This is Akito at a low point, where he's wondering if everything he did was for nothing. Was the only point to just end up with nothing in the end? To be left alone in this world...?
Sonic Colours soundtrack - Reach for the Stars: Away from the depressing and back into the happy Akito with his dreams and hopes!
"Take off at the speed of sound. Bright lights, colours all around. I'm running wild, living fast and free. Got no regrets inside of me.
Not looking back. Not giving up. Not letting go. I'll keep on running..."
He's going to do this thing his own way, living in amazement and awe at the beautiful and wonderful world he lives in, and work with all his friends to try and grab those stars so they can share the joy with the whole world.
Sonic the Hedgehog Movie OST - Look Alike: Look at the title and take a guess X3
Everyone was born on this same world, and even if they're different, they're still the same flesh and blood under it all.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) - Dreams of an Absolution: Any of the three, this one. Dreaming and looking forward to that future that they're trying to reach, but knowing that it all depends on those they're around as well. They can't do it alone, but surely with help from others, they can reach it.
"And I'd like no other future, But you still control the past. Only you know if we'll be together Tonight..."
Dreams will never change, and they'll push forward with those they care for to reach it.
Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become: Fun fact, there's the occasional time when Agito hates the shark he is. It scares Akito, even though his other is more than used to it by now. This song is his want to be reassured that the monster inside him isn't his true self, that he doesn't exist just to harm the people around him.
Treasure Planet soundtrack - I'm Still Here: And final song for the moment is an Agito one! Not many people understand him, or are willing to try to. But when there is the occasional person willing to try, when they'll push past it all and try to see exactly who he is. And even when no one is watching, no one is caring, he's still there, just trying to be noticed. And once he is, he'll protect those he cares for with his life.
