Wizengamot Leader Dead
By Pilar Rivers, Reporter
All around wizarding London witches and wizards alike were seen raising their wands in tribute to the late Tiberius Ogden, who was found dead this morning at his residence in Kent. While the Aurors office were on the scene no details surrounding his death have been released. The Auror department stated that they are continuing their investigation at this time and request anyone with information contact their office. Neighbors report hearing a ruckus around the hour of midnight but claim that it was not unusual and that the elderly wizard had grown increasingly perturbed lately, having taken a liking to midnight excursions. However they claim that Tiberius was not seem like he was under the Imperius Curse and that they believe it is unlikely that it is the work of a dark wizard(s) and is simply an unfortunate accident.
The tragic death of the Mr Ogden comes in the wake of several new appointments in the Wizengamot under the rule of Minister of Magic Albert Runcorn. Tiberius Odgen was appointed to the Wizengamot more than fifty years ago has been known supporter of Muggleborn rights, resigning for a time in protest of the appointment of Dolores Umbridge as High Inquisitor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was later reappointed to his old post but continued to be a staunch supporter of the late Albus Dumbledore and the famed Harry Potter claiming that they were being wrongly discredited by several new sources.
Mr Ogden’s death is a tragedy that will certainly be mourned heavily by those who are of the anti-government sentiment. With the death of Tiberius Ogden there is likely no longer the deadlock that has tied up several new legislation proposals, which need a majority vote in order to pass. It is likely that in the next few weeks we will see the appointment of a new leader that shares the Minister's views on how to deal with current issues. What does this mean for those of mixed ancestry? Well, probably nothing good though that remains to be seen. Until then we will keep you updated on the investigation into the death.
