Who: Bill and Fleur Weasley
When: This afternoon
Where: Their place
What: Fleur's upset after her conversation with Bellatrix
Warnings/Rating: PG at least for language and mentions of violence

Fleur felt her heart drop into stomach as read the words that now stared back at her from the page of her journal. In that moment all the strings that held her hastily together fell away as she continued to stare at the words on the page. That woman had no right to write to her, not after what she had done to her. It wasn't right and she had ever reason to be upset.

"Non ma soeur!" Fleur snapped at the page as if the author could hear her through it but of course she couldn't and Fleur knew somewhere Bellatrix was laughing at her. Laughing knowing she had exceeded at getting under Fleur's skin. Truth was she had never left and that was the worse part of it. She was there when she slept. She was there when she was awake. No matter what she did she was always there, always taunting her in her mind and reminding her. Before she knew it Fleur picked up the book and hurled it with surprising strength at the far wall hardly hearing the sound of breaking glass as the mirror shattered as the book collided with it.

And because she started thinking about it she thought about her sister. The baby sister that looked so much like her. Gabrielle who had recently cut her hair to look like Fleur's. Gabrielle who was always writing her asking for advice on what to wear and how to do her make-up so the boys would take notice of her (as if she needed the help with her Veela heritage).

Then Bellatrix was there... Then she could see her sister tied up and kept in the same dingy dungeon. Her sister being forced to endure the beatings and the pain of the Unforgivable Curses knowing her sister would be begging for their Maman. It tore her apart so much so that she had started sobbing. Her words jumbled and in French through her tears. She couldn't let her hurt her sister too.

Bill had been stuck i his little home office, a mountain of work sitting at the desk for him. This was where he was when out of no where, a crash and the sound of broken glass had him bolting out of the room and in search of his wife. "Fleur!" He shouted, afraid he'd find her gone. Afraid that some how their home was found by the psychotic people who had taken her.

What he found was a sobbing Fleur amid chaos and ruin. "Baby, what's wrong?" He asked, coming closer to wrap his arms around her in a way to comfort and calm her.

"Ce mal femme," Fleur muttered as she turned into his form slightly as to cry her tears into his shoulder instead. It didn't register that her words had come out in French and that he wouldn't understand what she was saying. It was just something that tended to happen when she was upset or excited or exhausted and she was currently two of the three. "Elle ne peut pas avoir ma soeur Bill," she told him between sobs.

When he didn't say anything Fleur realized her error. "She cannot have my sister," she corrected sliding back into the language that they both understood. Her tears heavier now that she was giving voice to her concerns. "I won't let her..."

And because they were talking about it all the pent up stress and emotion concerning her kidnapping was there. It was there and it was raw. It hurt. No matter how hard she wanted to forget it she couldn't even though she had been trying. Fleur had thought if she ignored it long enough it would be as if it didn't happen but it was only making it worse.

Bill stood there, holding Fleur while she cried. He held tighter when those tears turned into sobs that make her body shake against his frame. "Shhh..." He whispered softly at first, his fingers trailing up and down her spine as he tried to get her to relax.

When finally Fleur realized he couldn't understand her ad repeated herself in english, Bill pulled her away slightly so he could tip her head back. "What?" He asked, thorughly confused by what he was hearing. "Who has Gabby? She's at school isn't she?"

After a moment Fleur wrapped her arms around his body as the tears continued to flow unchecked. She had long surrendered in her fight to keep them from coming. It wasn't until her lungs burned unpleasantly that she remembered to breath. A small hiccup escaped her lips before turning back into sobs.

"Cette femme," she told him or that lady. It went without saying which one she was talking to. Bellatrix's name wasn't one she was familiar with but she knew the lady herself far more than she cared to. "It is all my fault. It is to punish me..." Fleur muttered softly in gasping breaths as she tried to control her tears a bit. "She must have found a way," Beauxbatons was safe but Fleur was sure there was a way if someone was motivated. "Why else would she say such a thing."

Bill held her tighter, wanting to let Fleur know that he was there for her. That he'd do anything he could to take the hurt away. However, when she finally did explain, Bill couldn't think straight. How do you give comfort when there was no way to ease that pain. Eventually he sighed and moved Fleur over to where they could sit together.

"Listen to me Fleur. You can't trust what anyone says over those blasted books. We'll owl your parents and see what is going on. I'm sure if Gabby was missing, they'd let us know." Not that he'd owled them when Fleur had disappeared. "If she is, then we'll fight to get her back."

Bill had never seen Fleur in such a way and couldn't keep himself from asking about her time. "Fleur, what happened while she had you?"

Numbly Fleur let her husband lead her over to their bed to sit down. Her mind wasn't focused enough to argue the gesture and that they should be doing something, anything to help her sister. It could very well be a tactic to upset her and if that was the case Bellatrix had succeeded much more than she probably hoped to but something told her that she wasn't lying. Bellatrix Lestrange wasn't the type to just blindly taunt something unless she had reason. Fleur had learned that much.

"But... But... She would not have bothered if she did not have..." Fleur hiccuped as another dry sob worked its way to her lips the rest of the sentence too hard to say. "They do not need to lie when they know how to twist the truth into something hurtful." How many times had they did that to Fleur herself? How many times had they mocked her with the fact no one was trading the box for her? Or that her husband could not control his anger when he hit Yaxley? "They always taunted me with the truth." Fleur admitted so softly she wasn't sure Bill would hear her.

Fleur wiggled from his grasp and laid down on the bed instead. "They will not say anything or they will lie." She said curling up into a ball as she rested her head on her pillow. There was no way her parents were going to tell their pregnant daughter something that would upset her. If it was true they would try to shield her from it.

"I don't want to talk about it," Fleur said softly more into her pillow than at her husband but the truth was she did want to talk about it. She wanted to talk about it and forget. "It was horrible. Have you ever felt the Cruciatus Curse?" She asked the sobs sneaking back in at the memory. "And that was the easy part."

Bill knew, just as well as Fleur, how the DeathEaters liked to play. Spoke in truths and twisted their words to make sure it stung. But, he didn't know how to calm Fleur down, other than to give her a glimmer of hope that her sister was safe.

"How would your parents lie about your sister? They wouldn't do that to you. Would they?"

Bill grimaced and rubbed Fleur's back again. "No, I haven't had to endure that curse."

Fleur wiped at her eyes convinced that there wasn't a single tear left in her body but maybe she just needed to get it out. Get out all the emotions that had been gnawing away at her the past week while she rested and pretended everything was alright. Nothing was right no matter how much she wanted it to be. At least she had her husband.

"They might." Fleur said honestly hoping it wasn't true but knowing in a way they would until they couldn't any more. "They would not want to upset me and make me worry." She was still convinced something was wrong and that Bellatrix was telling her the truth. "It is not good for the baby." She couldn't help but think it was a good thing her parents couldn't see how upset she was now.

Fleur took a deep breath and stared at the wall in front of her for a long moment. "It is not too bad at first... Their words do not hurt. You ignore them. You think of everything else... You think of home. The people you want to see and it is enough. You are convinced just another hour maybe another day and it will be over." She sniffled but continued. "But they keep telling you terrible things and when they get bored they beat you. You try to be good but it does not matter they still hit you over and over again... You try not to scream or cry because that is what they want but if you don't they will keep at it."

Shifting against her pillow Fleur changed the topic a bit for a moment while she regained her thoughts. "I tried to think of the baby. What she would look like, if she really was a girl... What she would want to be and what I wanted to call her." Despite her tears Fleur had to smile a little thinking of the tiny life sharing her body. "Sometimes you cannot help but wish they would hurry up and kill you."

"But hiding the truth from you isn't good either. For you or the baby. Sooner or later it'd come out." Bill countered, his voice low as he watched the range of emotions that crossed Fleur's eyes as she continued to talk. To tell him in some detail what she went through.

"I tried Fleur. Had someone sent word to me sooner, maybe I could have been here to actually give them the box back. Godric knows I wanted to." Bill leaned in to place a kiss to Fleur's forehead. "You are strong, and a fighter. I'm eternally greatful that you didn't give up and that they didn't kill you. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you."

"The lesser of two evils then," Fleur conceeded knowing that Bill had a point. She had long stopped trying to understand the things people did even her parents. They always had reasons she knew not of but she had always chalked that up to that she couldn't understand because she wasn't a parent yet. Maybe she would understand more once her baby was born. "I would rather know either way." Worrying was far better than any truth because when she didn't know she invented things in her head that were usual worse than the truth.

"I know." She said softly as she finally sat up and let her teary blue eyes finally meet her husband's blue ones. He would have done exactly what Fleur herself would have done and that was anything she had to. For a long moment she settled against his chest and listened to the steady thrum of his heartbeat that was so regular compared to the thudding of her own. "I love you too mon cherie," Fleur told him affectionately as she kissed at the delicate patch of skin exposed just above the collar of his shirt.

She had missed everything about him while she had been gone: the way he smelled, the feel of his embrace and his hands, the sweet taste of his lips and how he knew her better than she knew herself. "You helped in your own way more than you could ever know. Even if you weren't there physically." It was true. "You were still there. I thought of you all the time."

"I know you would. I would too. She is my family too." Bill managed to say through a lump that formed in his throat. He was still stuck on what it was that Fleur had gone through, the images of what she said all to vivid in his thoughts.

"Do you know where they kept you? I didn't know where to look? Once Yaxley told me he'd gone to visit you I exploded. I could have tried to get so much more out of him, but he called you someone's pet. I'm assuming Bellatrix's." Godric, he wanted to kill her. To kill them both. He could too, if only he knew where to look.

With her admission of love, Bill smiled and let those thoughts slip away he held Fleur. He shifted slightly, so as to kiss her temple, her eyes (that were swollen from the tears), her cheeks and down to her mouth. "I'll always be with you, my love."

"I want to see her." Fleur admitted softly against the soft fabric of Bill's shirt. It was the only way she was going to feel relieved but it was also impossible. Beauxbatons did not get out until the end of June so there was no chance of that happening. She was going to have to just trust whatever it was that her parents told her.

A soft whimper escaped her lips as she thought once again to that place. "Non. I do do not know how I got there." As far as she was aware she had been unconscious the entire time. "I woke up there. I am sorry Bill," she told me as she looked away sorry she couldn't tell him more. It could have been anywhere for as far as she knew.

"Hmm," she hummed in agreement as her eye lids fluttered shut at the feel of his lips first against the delicate skin of her temple and then her eyes and finally her lips. "I love you too," she told him again against the warm softness of his lips before returning the kiss, deepening it a bit. "I missed you so much," Fleur told him for what felt like the millionth time the sweetness of his kiss still lingering on her lips, so much so she couldn't help but kiss her husband again. Even in the week she had been back the feelings of separation and missing still lurked on the surface and she was still afraid of waking up and finding him gone.

"I know you do, but I don't think we could do that right now. She's at school, they're not going to let us just walk in to check on your little sister. I'm sorry." His words were full of sympathy for Fleur and concern for the little girl who was a sister to him as well.

Bill sighed and squeezed Fleur just a little tighter. "Its okay, if you are able to remember anything at all at any time, please tell me. If we can find where they are...." He didn't want to push, but if there was a chance at finding where the bastards were hiding, they needed to take it.

"I missed you too." He murmured against her mouth as he continued to kiss her. "I missed you prior to everything that happened. My nights in Egypt were endless without you by my side." Bill uncurled his arms from around Fleur so as to be able to tip her head back some to deepen their kiss. His tongue darted out to run the length of her bottom lip.

Fleur could argue that point as she could be very persuasive when she was angry but she let it go. Bill was probably right. There probably was very little reason to have to check on Gabrielle anyhow as Beauxbatons and France were two of the safest places for her to be right now. She was still going to write to both her sister and her parents though. "Maybe when she is out of school then?" A visit home was never a bad thing in her mind and it would ease her mind.

"I will think some more on it," she offered up at his words. The last thing she wanted to think about was the time she spent there but it didn't make his point less valid. They needed to know where the vipers made their nest and she had been the one to be there.

Fleur nodded slightly loathe to break their shared kiss to tell him something he already knew. Her nights had been equally as long and lonely without him there. The feeling of his tongue sent a shiver up her spine but not in an unpleasant manner. Shifting slightly she returned his kiss with the same ardent passion letting her own tongue wonder into Bill's own mouth in a teasing fashion. She liked the attention. It allowed her to relax a bit and forget about the troubles weighing on her mind and focus on the love and passion they had for each other.

"We'll have to make the trip in the next couple of months. I won't want you traveling much once you start getting bigger." It wasn't an insult, more along the lines of a concern, he knew that traveling by port key was just as dangerous as apparition, and he was not going to put Fleur or their baby at risk. The closer to the due date, the more risk he saw in traveling that way.

"Don't think so hard you relive the entire thing over again. Just, try and identify your surroundings. Anything might help."

And that was the last that was said. When Fleur began to kiss him in return, Bill groaned and shifted his weight so he could move the both of them so they were laying on the bed, Bill supporting his weight on his elbows to keep from laying on Fleur with all his weight. "Gods, I've missed you." He groaned as he moved away from her mouth to move lower along her jaw and the delicate column of her neck.

"Then we will go in June. Next month." It wasn't really that far away and Fleur hoped she wouldn't be huge by then. As it was her stomach was already starting to swell and her baby bump was becoming more noticeable every day, especially if someone was looking for it. Another couple of weeks and there would be no hiding it. "I say we still have a little bit of time before I get too big."

Fleur nodded and left it at that. There had to be clues as to where she had been if she thought about it enough.

Any lingering thoughts vanished as her head gently hit the pillow and she felt the familiar warmth of her husband's body against her own. Shifting Fleur tilted her head to the side granting him easier access to her neck her heart fluttering in her chest at the feel of his lips exploring her skin. A familiar sensation of longing started to swell inside of her as her hands found their way to the hem of his shirt.
