Who: Pansy and Theodore
What: Supper at Theodore's
When: Monday evening
Why: To catch up and talk before the wedding
Rating: Low to start

The last of her owls were delivered today. Honestly Pansy had stretched out her work as long as she dared. She was quite busy between the final touches for the wedding, the renovations on Nott Manor (thankfully the master suite, while not yet complete no longer looked like the Notts old bedroom) and work Pansy was running herself a bit thin. Pansy had expanded the project to include a good proper clean of the Library with a few touches that were all Theodore (which included stocking the bar properly) as well as a intimate table for two that overlooked the grounds from the patio for quiet breakfasts or informal suppers. There were plans for the rest of the Manor of course but there was time enough for them later. Her father had insisted she take the summer off to get settled in. She honestly had no idea if she would be coming back. Now was not the time to think of that.

Now, Pansy was in Theodore's flat preparing a lovely little supper of grilled lamb chops and roasted vegetables. It wasn't extravagant but she didn't think he would mind. She did stop and change before she arrived into something pretty and inviting for his hands. She did want him to have room to roam. Pansy heard the fire roar to life and as she poured his drink she couldn't but grin. She did love the idea of being there when he came home.

Stepping out of the fire, trying not to stumble as he landed in his living room, Theodore straightened up and brushed off his robes. Now that he was inside, Theodore could smell his dinner cooking and for a moment he wondered if he'd told the house elf when he was coming home. It was only then that he remembered that Pansy was stopping by, and he smiled. Walking across the open plan room, Theodore's eyes locked to Pansy standing in the kitchen.

"Good evening, Miss Parkinson." Theodore said with a smile as he moved toward her, slid an arm around her waist and kissed her temple. "It smells delicious. Did you make all of that?" He asked as he looked toward the hob.

"Good evening Mr. Nott" Pansy grinned as she handed him his glass. She smiled and nodded at Theo's question. "I did. Probably not the spread that Astoria would put out but I figured it would do." She leaned in and kissed his mouth briefly. "But I promise to make it up to you in other ways."

"That's quite all-right, I had no intention on marrying a house elf, so expertise in the kitchen is hardly an expectation." Theodore said with a smile as he dipped in for a kiss. He had plenty of house elves and as far as he was concerned, a woman's role was not slaving away in the kitchen, though if she wanted to treat him with gourmet meals on occasion he would hardly complain. "You look stunning by the way." Theodore murmured as his hands slid along her waist. "And I much prefer you in our bed than our kitchen." He added when he pulled back, giving her a quick kiss. He took a sip from his glass then as he pulled back, his hands remaining on her body.

Pansy chuckled at his words. "Good. I am much sexier than a house elf," she answered back returning his kiss. "Thank you" she replied. "Funny, I prefer to be in your bed than a kitchen."

Not moving away far, Pansy did plate their supper. "So how was work today?"

"Mmm, you most certainly are. Though lets stop talking about house elf Astoria, you are much more interesting." He murmured as he moved so his mouth was nuzzling her neck. When she started to plate their food he sighed, reluctantly let her go, but stepped back so she could finish.

"Work went well enough, nothing major, mostly paperwork." Theodore said, going to pick up cutlery, their glasses and bottle. "How was your day?" Theodore supposed that he could ask about her planning, but he had learned that it was best to allow her to bring up that particular subject.

It was so very tempting to stay there letting Theodore nibble on her neck all night. Perhaps later. Pansy couldn't help but laugh at Theodore's words. "Yes...no more about her."

Finishing plating up their supper, Pansy listened. "That sounds like a good day. I went to see Gwen today. Delivered my last own for a while. Maybe ever, I don't know. And mother is pressing for the last details and I can give them to her tomorrow. I hope that she doesn't keep me long. I am almost done with the Manor."

Letting Pansy finish with the plates, Theodore headed into the dinning area to set the table for them as she spoke. He wasn't at all surprised that Pansy had popped over to see Gwen, there was barely a week when they didn't.

"I hope she's helping, and that you're letting her. don't want you to overwork yourself." Theodore said as he moved to top up their glasses. He knew exactly what Pansy was like, and even though Gwen was likely pleading to help, that girl did always like to stick her fingers into everything, Pansy was never good at letting go. "As for the owls, I 'm sorry, love. I'm sure it wasn't easy, but if you want to go back to work, you know I won't stop you." Not that he particularly wanted her to work, especially after they had children, but he wanted her to have a passion, if that was work, or charities, or anything else, he didn't mind. "You're always welcome to use me as an excuse to get out of your discussion with your mother if it takes too long."

"I'm trying" Pansy conceded. It was hard. Pansy was such a hands on planner. "Gwen has been great though. I took a bunch of pictures over and she helped with some last minute decisions I have been stuck on."

"It seems....I don't know, wrong to go back to work after we are married. Not like I have been now anyway. I will probably still raise owls but more for me than as a profession." Pansy brought the plates over and set them down. "I may do that" she said. "If for no other reason than to get back to the manor. I am so close to being done with what I want to before the wedding."

"I'm glad. That's why you have her." Theodore said with a shake of his head. Not that he would have minded helping Pansy, but it was so much easier when Gwen seemed to have all of the good ideas.

"That," He said once they'd sat down, reaching out for her hand, squeezing it lightly. "is entirely up to you, Princess. If you want to leave work, or raise owls at the manor, I'll understand. Just want you to be happy." Theodore said before picking up his glass with his other hand. "Do you think everything will be done for the wedding?"

"It is and she has been great," Pansy said of Gwen. "All of the major decisions have been made. I am so pleased about how it is coming together. It really is going to be so beautiful." Truth be told, Pansy was quite thrilled with herself about how the planning was coming. It was going to be an amazing day.

Theo squeezing her hand was reassuring. She laced her fingers with his for a moment. "Yes, it will be done. I am basically fussing over small details now. I can't wait for you to see it." It struck her then that after the wedding and once she was Mrs. Nott that this sort of planning and overseeing the manor would consume her day. It would in fact be her job now. It made Pansy smile. "You are going to love it. There are going to be no less than 16 pillows on the bed" she said with a straight face just to see his reaction.

"I'm pleased to hear it, love." Theodore said, smiling at Pansy. He took a sip from his glass. "I'm sure the day will be very special."

"I can't wait to see it. It'll be got to be back at home. As our home." Theodore said, his smile matching hers. He really was looking forward to coming home now, now that it was theirs. "Six-teen?" Theodore asked, blinking in surprise at the comment. "One-six? Why the hell do we need sixteen pillows on the bed?" Theodore asked, still not quite grasping what could possibly require so many pillows, surely the bed would be soft enough?
