The amount of testosterone in the tent was getting to be more than she could bear. The wards around their camp worked wonders at keeping them hidden. In the same note it kept them in close quarters making for some tense moments. Not that anything in particular had happened, Hermione was just tired of being essentially on her own, or rather without other female company.
With a quick announcement that she was going exploring, Hermione grabbed up the invisibility cloak, she was still short enough to fit underneath it on her own. Once she was past the barrier of the camp Hermione paused to take in her surroundings. As quietly as possible, feet cruching lightly in the leaves, she found her way to an old stump that was large enough to act as the perfect perch. Once she was settled she whispered a spell that would create a bubble around her that would keep her own noises from coming through while allowing her to hear if anyone else was around. Once she felt comfortable and sure that she was perfectly positioned in a way that allowed her to stay alert Hermione pulled out the book she had in the bag that was tossed over her shoulder. What she didn't realize was that a scrap of parchment fell to the ground and fluttered just a few feet away before being stopped by a nearby tree.
