There are some Mondays that are simply better than the others. Today is one of those Mondays. Have you ever wondered what high society gets up to when the doors are closed? Thanks to me, my lovelies, you get to glimpse the inner walls.

Now, let's get start from the beginning. Reports are that Sunday night prominent families all over the country were notified that their vaults at Gringotts were...well, the official word is "compromised" but we all know that means broken into. Whatever you want to call it, it seems as if quite a few secrets escaped. Oh where,dear readers, do we begin? If I had known the wealth of secrets stored in a Gringotts vault I would have opened them myself years ago.

Perhaps we should start with an elder stateswoman of this society, the perpetually single Alecto Carrow. Word is that it her lack of a husband didn't have to be that way. At one time Miss Carrow was in the process to be betrothed. Contracts were all drawn up. What happened to your groom Alecto? Why don't you come over to have a cocktail and a chat? We can talk all about it. It will be good to get it off your chest.

It was quite well known that socialite and sometime owl merchant Pansy Parkinson didn't have to work. (And really is "I work in my father's business" every really working anyway?). Regardless she would lead you to believe that she earned a paycheck for all of her "hard" work. Uh uh uh. Not so fast Miss Parkinson. Did you really think Daddy was going to give you a wage? No honey, you were living off your trust most likely. Know who did get the money? It would appear that quite a large sum of money was transferred into the Nott vault. Dowery perhaps? I suppose it would take a large sum of money to have to put up the smell of owls after she has been "working". Don't feel too bad for the future Mrs. Nott. Word is that she's had access too and been making significant withdrawals from the Nott vault for quite some time. I do hope some of that money is going into the Nott estate. Word is that place hasn't been touched in decades. Tsk tsk.

One of the most interesting bits of information to come out of this little incident at at Gringotts is who has access to which vault. Think you know the answer? You really don't. Take Quidditch phenom Adrian Pucey. Can you guess which blonde actress has regular access to his vault? Why it's none other than the stunning Gwendolyn Montgomery. So that's how she can keep up with her friends. I did wonder. I didn't know you had to pay snitch bunnies!

No, as interesting as that little bit of information was, I was much more surprised to learn that one Miss Astoria Greengrass was given access to Draco Malfoy's vault during his engagement to Lily Moon. I wonder if Miss Moon had discovered that. I know if I found out that my future husband was setting up a mistress and making sure she was taken care of before we were even married I wouldn't be shy about snogging the Captain of the English Quidditch team either!

Speaking of the Greengrasses let's take a look at them. I would have bet my last Knut that the swanky new flat was bought with Malfoy money but no! It would appear that cash was splashed out for the youngest Greengrass daughter while the elder seems to be doing quite well on her own with her profession seeming to support her. (That's where you work for someone else and they pay you, in case you are keeping track Pansy.) Daphne dear, let Auntie Aggie give you a bit of advice. Get married and get your share of the family money out before your dear baby sister spends it all.

Well that is all the space I have for today. Pity. Seems to me that you will just have to check back tomorrow for any more news. Oh and I would check your vault if I were you. You just never know what might come spilling out. Ta!
