Draco was quickly learning that he was nowhere near as stealthy or fast as he thought he was, because Astoria had managed to avoid him. He hadn’t slept very well at all since the disastrous encounter in the water, and according to Pansy, the only way to make it right was tell her that it hadn’t been a heat of the moment thing, that it was how he felt.
It was still dark when he made his way down to the kitchen, and sat at the table, in the dark. She was a creature of habit, and soon, she’d be down here to fix breakfast for everyone before she disappeared into town again. This time, he’d be waiting and make sure she couldn’t escape.
Draco was right, a creature of habit, Astoria was soon coming down to the kitchen where she planned to enjoy a nice cup of tea as she watched the sun come up. Then she’d prepare a simple breakfast for everyone, something that consisted of fruit and some of that fry bread she had found in town. Maybe some eggs as well. This was their last full day at the beach and she was sure everyone had plans to enjoy the beach on this last day. There was no need for a heavy meal.
So, when Astoria turned into the kitchen area it surprised her to see Draco sitting there. She froze, her hand at the switch that turned the light on overhead. “Draco.” She said, coolly as she skirted past him towards the stove. “What are you doing down here?”
Her tone made him feel like wincing, but he managed to school his features as he watched her trying to avoid him. He felt like just leaving it alone, to be honest, afraid of telling her the truth, and knowing that she’d be better off without him messing up her perfectly ordered life with his chaos.
“I was waiting for you, actually,” he admitted. “You can’t avoid me forever, Stori.”
He stood up and moved to block her in, cutting off her escape to either the door, or the terrace door by placing himself between her and them.
“I wasn’t avoiding you.” She protested as she pulled dishes out of the cabinet along with two cups for tea. She might be mad at him, but she wouldn’t ignore that Draco was there with her. She’d been filling the teapot to set over the stove when Draco stood and blocked her from running away. Her hands shook visibly as she turned back towards him. “I wasn’t.” She said again, desperate to believe her own lie.
There was a sense of Deja Vu with how he stood. That night he’d brought her up to his room seemed like a lifetime ago, and yet she found herself blushing as she remembered. “Are you hungry?” She managed to say, trying to avoid whatever it was he wanted to say... or do.
Draco was thinking the same thing she was; about how this felt eerily similar to the night he had managed to get her into his room. He couldn’t let that distract him, though, as tempting as it was to let himself reminisce.
“No, I’m not hungry,” he said. Well, not for food, anyway, because try as he might, remembering her in his bed was invading his thoughts. “We need to talk about what happened, whether you like it or not.”
“There’s nothing to talk about.” Her voice wavered as she spoke and found herself turning away from him to keep from letting him see just how much he had affected her. Astoria had played that scene over in her mind so many times since the words slipped. She just wanted to forget he’d said it, he didn’t mean them and it shouldn’t hurt as much as it did. But it did.
Astoria ducked under Draco’s arm and opened the refrigerator door to pull the fruit out and set it out. Thankfully she’d cut it up the night before, since she wasn’t sure she could handle a knife right now. Not with the way her hands kept shaking. “Since there’s nothing to talk about, there’s nothing that needs to be said.”
The woman was maddening. Men weren’t supposed to be swept off their feet by girls, especially not naive, sweet, innocent girls like Astoria Greengrass. They weren’t supposed to fall head over heels in love at first sight, or whatever had happened here, and he couldn’t tell if he’d be better off just cutting his losses and running. He could plead a family emergency, Apparate back to Wiltshire and just never see her again.
Then, he felt that awful sick feeling, the same one he had when he imagined Astoria married to someone else; someone he likely knew and he couldn’t just walk away.
“I’d say there’s a lot to say, but really, it’s just three words,” he said, leaning back and bracing his body with both hands on the counter.
Astoria stopped fussing around with breakfast and turned her attention back to Draco. Whether he knew it or not, he had surprised her at every turn. There was only so much a girl could take. There were many sets of three words she could think of. “Draco if you’re going to say what I think you’re going to say... please don’t. If you do, I’m going to say them back and then what? You’ve already made it quite clear that this is just a temporary thing. I’m okay with that. Once you say those words, there’s no taking them back and then where will that put us?” All it would do is break her heart when he wound up leaving her.
She stood there watching him, tears pricking at her eyes. There was a difference between love and lust and she wasn’t sure he knew that difference. Astoria opened her mouth ready to say that very thing when the kettle began to whistle on the stove, causing her to jump. She hurried and took it off the stove, silencing the whine before it got louder and woke everyone in the house up.
Draco definitely knew the difference between lust and what he was feeling right now, and the main difference was that the idea of her telling him she loved him didn’t make him want to run for the hills. In fact, it made him smile and a weird sort of feeling started up somewhere inside him, much higher than where lust would have been coming from.
“I don’t want it to be a temporary thing, and I don’t want to take them back. That’s not what I meant when I said I was sorry,” he said, moving to stand behind her, his hand sliding around her waist to pull her back against him. “My timing was terrible, I know, but I meant it.”
The feel of his hand at her waist started the feelings to rise up within her again. If he kept touching her, even in a way that seemed innocent compared to other times he’d touched her, Astoria knew she’d melt. There would be no avoiding him, no trying to run away, no nothing. The kettle had be set to the counter as the same time as he pulled her back into him, out of fear of scalding the both of them.
It was easier to talk to him when she couldn’t see him. Which made it easier for her to whisper three words of her own. “Then say them.” She wanted to hear him tell her. To have him not apologize for saying them. To have him say them and not have it be because she’d pleasured him. She wanted it to be real.
This was crazy, but no matter which way he looked at it, it was true. He didn’t want it to be, because life was easier without it, but how could he deny it. Pansy had said he had to make her believe it, and it was clear that the only way to do that would be to say them again. Saying them again made it real, and she was right. Once he did, he couldn’t take it back, but what he’d said was true, too. He really didn’t want to.
“I love you,” he whispered.
When he said those three words, something in Astoria just... let go. She found herself smiling for the first time in the last couple of days and turned in Draco’s embrace to look him in the eye. “I love you too.” She whispered back and rose up on her toes the short distance it took for her to be able to kiss him.
All her life, she’d long to hear him say those words to her and never thought she’d hear them. This, was a dream come true, and a dream she didn’t want to see end.
It felt right, when Astoria was in his arms, like it was where she belonged, or maybe it was him that belonged with her. Either way, once she said those words back and was kissing him, the lost, empty feeling that he’d felt the last few days left him. He knew she did, it was obvious in the way she’d acted around him since the beginning, but it was still different actually hearing them.
He moved forward, trapping her body between the counter and him, before he hoisted her up onto it, pushing her legs apart and standing between them as he tugged her knees to pull her against him.
Astoria let out a surprised sort of squeal when Draco lifted her onto the counter, the noise was barely audible however through the kiss they shared. With him between her legs, Astoria wrapped her legs around him hooking her ankles to trap him in her own way. She tightened her arms and scooted closer, closing whatever distance could possibly be between them.
He loved her, that was all that mattered. He did. He said he did and it wasn’t just a desire to get her in bed that caused him to say those three little words. Who would have known that three little words could mean the world.
He was aware that starting something with her here was hazardous to his health if Daphne caught them, but she loved him, so what did it matter. His hand roamed her body, sliding down her thighs, then up her body to cup her breasts, before sliding around her to rest at her arse. With a groan of arousal, he felt himself starting to get hard and then his hips started to push against her, as the still quite healthy dose of lust took over.
Astoria pushed back a little bit, wanting to tell Draco that they couldn’t do this here. Not when people would start coming down soon. But, all of that changed when she noticed the sky outside was lightening due to the rising sun. “Oh! Draco I’m missing it!” She said and nudged at his chest until he stepped back and she was able to slide off the counter. Once her feet hit the floor she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the terrace.
The entire week she’d been there, except the night before when she didn’t come home, Astoria had spent every morning right on the terrace to watch the rising sun. It really was a beautiful sight and something she wanted to share with him before they had to return to the gray and drab world they came from. Astoria leaned against the railing. “Sorry, it’s the last one I get to actually enjoy before we go back. I’m not missing it.” She said, giving Draco a shy smile. She’d just pushed him away to watch the sunrise, she was sure he wouldn’t understand.
The only sunsets Draco had ever seen were ones that he witnessed going to bed, not waking from it, and he’d never really found them all that special. Of course, Astoria did have a way of making him see things completely differently, and this was no exception.
“It’s really pretty,” he said, wrapping his arm around her to pull her into his side, so they could watch the orange spreading across the sky together.
Astoria leaned into Draco’s side and slid her arm around his waist as she was pulled into his embrace. She leaned her head against him and pointed to the white gulls as they flew out over the waves. “Every morning they catch a fish and fight over it in the air. The other morning they lost it and it was comical to watch it splash back into the water and they dove after it. They never did catch it.”
Astoria grinned as she let her gaze slide from the water and the rising sun to watch Draco’s face. His profile was amazing, she thought. A nose that spoke of his aristocratic heritage, eyes that would crinkle at the corners, a mouth that was shaped perfectly. A mouth that she could swear begged to be kissed. And she did just that, leaning up to plant a kiss to the corner of his mouth. “I don’t want to go home tomorrow, I’m going to miss this.”
Only Astoria could make a story about a fish sound interesting, and he found he was watching her more than the horizon, so when she turned to look at him, his gaze was already on her. His declaration seemed to chased away any doubt she had about him and now, she was much more casual and natural in showing him affection, which he wasn’t complaining about at al..
“I think the view from my room is good,” he suggested, moving back towards the house and tugging her with him. “Let me show you?”
Astoria nodded and allowed Draco to lead the way. Away from the terrace and back through the house they went and Astoria was very happy it was still early enough that her sister and the others were still behind closed doors. She didn’t want to explain just what was going on. The very thought caused her to blush.
“Draco?” She said his name in question at the threshold of his door, almost afraid to cross over into the room. Which didn’t make sense since they’d already did so much behind this closed door.
“Only what you’re ready for,” he said, answering her unasked question, letting her know that just because they’d spoken words of love, he wasn’t expecting their actions in here to reflect that, unless it was what she wanted. Of course, that just made him smile. He had it bad, alright, and he felt stupid for ever doubting it.
Her head bobbed in a nod once again and followed into the room. “Are things really that different?” she asked, wondering if it was normal to feel as nervous as she was. “Do three words change things so much? Or is this how I’m going to feel every time you pull me into a room?”
Astoria shifted from foot to foot, watching Draco. Merlin help her, she wanted to kiss him again and put all other thoughts from her mind. No nerves, no over thinking, no nothing otherwise she’d run away again. instead, she closed the distance between them and pulled him into a kiss that did the talking for her. Telling him everything that she felt.
She just had to get used to it, being pulled into rooms, because he planned on doing it a lot, until he worked up the courage to just marry her and stop fighting the inevitable. Maybe he didn’t want a wife right now, but if he did, she was definitely the one he wanted. It really did seem pointless to wait, when if they just went ahead and did it, they could stop worrying about him ruining her reputation and just enjoy each other.
He slid his hands down her body and toyed with the hem of her sundress, knowing that under it was probably another of those bikini’s she’d been wearing since they arrived.
“Off? Or leave it?” he asked, sliding his hands up her thighs, and tugging the dress with them.
The touch of Draco’s hand as it moved down her body had Astoria’s body breaking out in chill bumps his wake. She stepped back, her eyes sparkling as she found herself grinning up at him. Excited, nervous, a million other feelings, all of it came down to the one word she whispered, unable to raise her voice any louder. “Off.” That said, she took another step back to make it easier to tug the sundress up.
Swallowing hard, he pulled the dress over her head. Sweet Circe, she was exquisite. He wasn’t even aware he was dropping the dress as he pulled her back against his body to kiss her passionately, his hands moving over her bare skin. He groaned into the kiss. No one should feel that soft and smell so good. He was painfully hard now, straining against the shorts he was still wearing from earlier in the day.
Her teeth flashed out to bite that bottom lip of her’s as her dress was pulled up over her head to reveal the white bikini she wore underneath. Before she could say anything, Draco’s lips were back on her’s in a kiss that felt like it engulfed her in flame. Her own little moan was drowned out by his as his hands traveled across her body.
Astoria’s body fit into his and from her position, Astoria was definitely aware of the bulge in his shorts as it pressed into her thigh. After what happened in the water, Astoria was a little braver with her own actions and let her hand travel down Draco’s body to caress the length of him through the constricting fabric.
His eyes rolled back behind his closed lids as he felt her hand moving over him. He was certainly glad that she wasn’t afraid to touch him, and his fingers moved up her body to the ties of her top.
“Please?” he breathed against her mouth, tugging the tie softly, but hard enough for her to know what he was asking.
Touching was one thing, Astoria could touch him. She liked the feel of him against her hand. The length of him, the rigid feeling. It was... was so amazing that a body part could feel as smooth as satin and yet hard as steel. Of course, this was not something she’d tell Draco. There were better ways to describe the body, she was sure, and knew that she’d laughed at if she tried. While she could touch him, Astoria still did not have the courage to look down and see the part of him that she had already used to give him pleasure.
Astoria answered the question he asked in that single word with a nod of her head, her mouth never leaving his. If she spoke, she might have chickened out. The bikini offered her a type of barrier, a way for her to keep that little part of her rational mind and here she was allowing Draco to chip away at that last little bit of resolve.
As the tie that held her top in place slipped again, Astoria let her hand travel under the waistband of Draco’s shorts and ran her fingers against the length of him. Flexing a little, her nails just barely scratched at the tender flesh.
Draco’s eyes were reverent as he let her top fall away and they moved over her body. He reached for them, knowing the weight of them well by now, but the bare skin adding a new dimension to his enjoyment of them. Her hand interrupted all his thoughts, though, as it slid into his shorts and he felt her fingers wrap around him.
“Fuck...” he hissed, his hips pushing into her hand, and his fingers sliding up her body to hold her, while he bent his head to kiss her again.
Astoria felt herself blushing under Draco’s eyes, it went far deeper than her cheeks coloring, as it seemed to spread. Her chest rose and fell as her breathing increased and she shifted her weight from foot to foot, as he continued to explore her body with his eyes.
“I don’t like that word.” She stated matter of factly, her fingers continuing to run along the length of him. Her free hand traveled upward, along his chest as Draco’s fingers slid up her body. Anything else she could have said was halted when he dipped his head and kissed her. Merlin help her, but a kiss could be undoing if she let it.
Draco made a mental note to try and watch his language around her, which was just further testament to jus how crazy about her he really was. He'd never have attempted to change something about himself for any other girl he'd known, even Pansy or Gwen, who had both meant a lot to him.
Now, though, all he could think of was getting between her thighs, one way or another. He guided her towards the bed, his mouth still on hers and eased her down onto it, on her back, then climbed over her, trying to nestle himself between her legs.
Astoria could feel the bed beneath her, beneath them. The way it shifted, the creak of the coils as the two of them moved. As he settled in between her legs, Astoria shifted beneath him in an attempt to find a more comfortable position. In the process, she pulled her hand out from within his shorts and accidentally brushed against him. The sensation there at the apex of her thighs ignited something deep inside and just that bit of movement had her groaning into his mouth.
He really was trying not to move to fast and frighten her, but the feel of her heat against him had him grinding into her with a groan of pure bliss. He dipped his head to her neck, then lower, to capture on dusky peak between his lips.
“You make me crazy,” he panted against her skin as he moved across to the other breast, his hips pushing into her again.
The feel of him, as he grinded into her stole Astoria’s breath from her. It felt amazing, it made her ache for more, it just... It was nothing compared to what happened to her when Draco caught her nipple between his lips. The sensations had her panting under him as she could do little but lay back and let it all wash over her.
“You’re... not... the only one...” She gasped, finding it hard to think, to talk, as he continued to tease at her breasts and grind into her.
He could just get lost in her, and while he had her here alone, he was planning on it. First, though, he lifted his head long enough to cast wards against sound and unwelcome guests, then he kissed down her body; across her stomach until his lips met the small silver buckle on her bottoms.
“I want to taste you,” he said, his fingers sliding inside her bottoms to slowly tug them over her hips.
Astoria’s breath caught in her throat at Draco’s words, she didn’t know what to say. What do you say to something like that? Instead, she bit her bottom lip and nodded her head to let him know it was okay. At the same moment, her head fell back to the mattress and she lifted her hips to help him tug the bottoms down over her hips.
When able to find her words, Astoria raised herself up on her elbows and nudged her legs closed a bit. “Draco” She started, his name a nervous plea to tell her what to do.
He slid her bottoms off, hardly believing that she was actually naked on his bed. He had to stop and just watch her, his breath coming fast as his heart raced. She look up at him, looking entirely too enticing for someone that innocent and he bent over her, capturing her mouth with his.
“You’re so beautiful, Stori,” he whispered against her lips as he moved down her body again. He guided her legs open with his hands as he moved down her body until he was looking right at the very core of her. His eyes on hers, he moved into her, lapping at her lazily a few times, before he found the tiny bud of nerves and flicked it with his tongue.
The moment Draco came up to kiss her, Astoria found herself relaxing into the kiss and let her body sink back into the bed. Her heart thudded in her chest, anticipating what was coming at the same time as dreading it. Was this right? Should she be letting him do this? She wanted him to do this and so much more, but her head wouldn’t let her relax and just.. feel. As he moved down her body, the very way he breathed sent chills through her body to the point she thought she’d come undone just by a breath.
Nothing he’d done to her thus far could prepare her for what happened when he found that nub, that part of her that had her crying out in surprise, a single word that was the closest she’d ever come to cursing in her life. “Merlin!” At the same time, she jumped, her muscles tightening as she fought the urge to push him away.
Draco had never been a huge fan of this, except for with a couple of girls, like Gwen, but Astoria was something special, and something about the way she responded made him want to spend the rest of the night there, listening to the noise she was making over and over again.
More than anything, though, he wanted to be buried inside her, giving himself to her completely, because there wasn’t anyone else in the world he wanted anymore. That would be too much, though, he knew, so he concentrated on making her come for him.
It didn’t take long before Astoria was able to relax and enjoy just what it was that Draco was doing. Each brush of his tongue against that little nub of nerves had her making noises a cross between a moan and mewling like a cat. She gasped and found it hard to stay still as her hips began to rock back and forth in the same rhythm that Draco had set.
Unsure of what to do or where to place her hands, Astoria fisted them into the sheets, once again fighting with herself, stop him or let him continue?
He moved down, pushing his tongue inside her, lapping at her and moaning as her sweet flavour filled all his senses. He had to have her, even if it meant marrying her when he felt they were too young to get married.
Then he moved back to her nub, sucking it, licking it and even grazing his teeth along it, trying to push her over the edge of that delicious precipice.
The way Draco’s tongue delved deep within her folds added something more than his fingers had done the other night when last she was in this room. She couldn’t think, couldn’t analyze what it was, when in a second it changed again. The moan that came forth from Draco as he lapped at her, it reverberated through her, finding that spot deep within. She groaned, and moaned.. panted and pleaded. Merlin help her, but he was going to end up killing her if he continued. There was no way anyone could live through this! It just didn’t seem possible.
That nub, that little bundle of nerves that happened to be overly sensitive after what he’d already put her through, throbbed and pulsed as he suckled and licked. The scrape of his teeth are what finally did her in. her body stilled as everything combusted about her. She gave a strangld sort of cry as her fingers uncurled themselves from the sheet and knotted in his hair. Her hips bucked under him as she spasmed and soon still. When the strength to do so returned, Astoria tugged him up towards her. She wanted to kiss him to thank him to give him so much more of her than what he’d already taken.
Finally, she came apart and Draco found him lapping at her again, cleaning her and loving ever second. He didn’t move until she tugged him upwards and the idea that she would be able to taste herself on his mouth drove him a little crazy, and before he could stop himself, he started to thrust against her, wishing to whatever deity was responsible for bringing her into his world would bless him with her body.
“Need you,” he panted against her mouth as he kept pushing, using her warmth to get himself off. He was so turned on, though, that he found himself coming in his shorts, just from the simulation of the act he wanted, a long, low moan leaving him as his hips jerked into her.
Astoria poured every bit of passion she could into the kiss, being so bold as to push her tongue into his mouth. Tasting herself on his in the process. She found herself moaning and lifting her hips to meet him thrust for thrust, the only thing keeping him from plunging into her being the shorts he wore. The friction of the cloth against her over sensitive parts had the noises from her growing louder with each thrust.
Ready to forget everything she had wanted, Astoria nodded her head, the act clumsy at best as she refused to fully break their kiss. By that time, it was too late as she felt the pump and stream of seed spill into his shorts.
It wasn’t until after he’d come that he realised that she’d agreed to let him, and he groaned, letting his head drop onto her shoulder. With a groan of frustration, he pushed himself up, to look down at her, naked and still trembling slightly under his body.
“Really?” he asked. He’d need a bit to recover, but he was fairly sure that he’d be ready to go again in a few minutes.
Astoria nodded finding herself at a loss. After everything they just done, how could she not give him that last gift. But, unlike him, Astoria didn’t think she could have another go at it, as it was she still felt a bit tingly at the ends of her toes and fingers and well... She couldn’t quite explain it but she throbbed down there in a way that made even the slightest movement cause her to quiver under his body. But yes, she had been prepared to give him what he wanted.
Out of no where, a giggle bubbled up and erupted from her. Maybe it was how everything happened and he was just a minute too late. Maybe it was the free feeling she had about her right now. Whatever it was, the giggle didn’t stop and soon built into a full on laugh as she tried to hide her face in the mattress. Whatever it was, she felt she had to apologize and could only do so in between her bouts of laughter, her words repeating just how sorry she was for laughing and how she had no idea why she was doing so. Even as she said the words, tears leaked from the corners of her eyes and still she couldn’t stop laughing.
Draco found himself staring at her. She was really going to let him do this, despite what she’d said, and how she felt about it. If possible he loved her even more for it, and was about to tell her so when she started to giggle. He froze. Was she laughing at him for coming? As the giggle became a laugh, he grew colder and eventually moved away from her to flop on the bed beside her.
Maybe she wasn’t that different to more experienced girls after all.
Astoria had felt the change in him and did her best to sober up to stop the uncontrollable fit of laughter that had seized her. When he rolled off of her, Astoria sat up and wiped at her eyes and leaned over him, the smile still stuck on her face even though she’d been able to finally stop laughing. “Draco?” She asked, leaning over him so she could look him in the eye and know he was listening. “Please don’t be angry. I don’t know why I was laughing. I’ve never done anything like this before, and I’ve made a terrible mess of something that was amazing. I”m sorry.” Suddenly very aware of the fact she was naked in his bed, Astoria flushed, her face and chest turning red from the realization.
“You’re not laughing at me?” he asked, rolling onto his side. The fact that she was naked completely distracted him from the question though, and he reached over to touch her skin.
He sighed. It was definitely inevitable. Even if she gave in to him, today, tomorrow or next week, he was well and truly hooked.
“Forgive the timing, but it needs to be said,” he said, sitting up and getting on his knees beside her. “Astoria, will you marry me?”
“Why would I intentionally laugh at you?” She asked, pushing her hair out of her face and back behind her shoulder. Really, did he think she’d be so hurtful as to do something like that?
The simple movement of his fingertips brushing against her bare skin raised chill bumps along her arms and left her heart picking up speed as it thumped against her chest. Then he was talking again and she blinked as she attempted to focus on what he’d said.
When he kneeled beside her on the bed, Astoria was momentarily confused, his question taking its time to sink in. “Did you just ask me to marry you?” She asked, just wanting to make sure she hadn’t gone completely mental. After all, this was a man that had told her on more than one occasion that he had no intentions of asking her. Ever.
His insistence that he didn’t want a wife had clearly sunk in with her, which was probably why she’d had so much trouble believing that his declaration in the heat of the moment might actually be real. He leaned over her, finding her mouth with his for a lingering kiss.
“I love you, I want you, so marry me?” he repeated, pressing her back into the mattress.
Her weight supported by her arm when she’d originally leaned over him, gave way when he kissed her. Everything, every bit of her felt charged by the kiss as she snaked her arms about him, pulling him into her.
Then he was gone, the kiss broken long enough for him to ask her again, his body hovering over her’s causing her to sink back into the mattress, the room silenced save the creak of the springs in the bed. Astoria’s teeth flashed against her lip as she caught hold of it and chewed. She’d longed to hear those words just as long as she had waited to hear him declare his love for her. Never in a million years had she thought she’d hear those words. What changed? Was it this? What they’d done? She couldn’t keep quiet, not at a moment like this. Not when the Fates had aligned and given her the very thing she’d always wanted!
Astoria’s face split in a grin as she nodded her head. “Yes, Draco, I’ll marry you.” The last part was accompanied by a squeal as she pushed herself up off the bed and launched herself at him. Her arms went about him as she kissed him again.
Of course, he hadn’t been in much doubt about what her answer would be. If she truly felt the way he suspected she did, of course, she’d want to be with him just like he wanted to be with her. Her enthusiasm knocked him off his arms, but he twisted to the side as the fell, so he was lying beside her, not on her, returning her kiss with fervour.
It didn’t take long for his body to remember that at present, the girl that had swept him off his feet was still lying naked in his bed, and as his hands slid over her back to cradle her backside, he felt his groin start to react again. This was perfect. They could celebrate their engagement in the most enjoyable way known.
Astoria groaned into Draco’s kiss as his hand caused chills to run down her spine. She arched into him, following the trail of his hand until he finally stopped, his hand at her backside. The way she moved, it was hard not to notice the way he stirred and it took everything she had inside to push him away. She groaned as she did so, feelings of frustration at her own actions showing how much she didn’t want to do just what it was she was going to do.
“Draco I can’t. I want to. Merlin! Do I want to. But I can’t.” She sighed and scooted away, afraid he’d be angry or distance like he had been when she’d ended up laughing. “I want this but I can’t get passed the idea that I should wait. There’s nothing else I can give you except...” She paused and waved her hand, indicating the bed and the two of them. “...Well, me. And that should be given to you on that special day. That day when I can become yours in all ways. I know, its frustrating. I’m mentally kicking myself for doing this.”
Now, it was Draco’s turn to laugh. Five minutes ago, before he’d proposed, she’d been ready to give herself to him, but now that he was willing to ask for her hand, she was withholding. He sighed, and rolled off the bed.
“That’s shit timing, Stori,” he said, finding her dress and tossing it to her. “Forget it. I’ll see you downstairs.” He found his shirt and tugged it on, then used his wand to end the wards and charms around the room. He needed to douse himself in cold water. Fast.
Astoria knew he wouldn’t understand and found herself watching him, her dream come true suddenly become a nightmare. With a ragged breath she rose and pulled the dress over her head and bent to pick up the bikini bottoms from their spot on the floor. She couldn’t stay there, couldn’t let him see just what he ended up doing to her. The top was no where to be seen and instead of taking the time to find the discarded article of clothing, Astoria hurried from Draco’s room thankful that people weren’t up yet.
Barefoot, she padded down the hall to her own room and closed the door behind her. She wouldn’t cry, she wouldn’t let herself. There was no one to blame but herself.
