CHAOS UNFOLDS
By Pilar Rivers
London, England - Ministry Officials were called in late last night to break up a fight that had unfolded at the first annual Valentines Day Charity Gala. Reports are that the fight broke out after an elderly gentleman, identified as William Smith, was insulted by fellow event goer Alexander Wood. Witnesses state that the fight ensued after Mr. Smith accused Woods of being a Death Eater or a follower of You-Know-Who. It is also believed that both men had consumed one too many drinks before drawing their wands and participating in an impromptu duel. A duel in which many bystanders were quickly involved in when several hexes went astray leading to a brawl that involved more than a quarter of those attending the event.
In response to these events the Ministry has dispatched several members of Law Enforcement to question those involved in hopes of learning the truth of what transpired. At the moment they assure the public that it was simply an unfortunate misunderstanding. That no evidence has turned up that the accused is a supporter or has any connections to illegal activities though they will continue with a full follow up investigation. There were only minor injuries which resulted in five people being admitted overnight to St. Mungo's for treatment. Luckily the fight broke out towards the end of the Charity event and had little influence on the success of the event. Estimates are that the the fundraiser raised nearly 10,00 Galleons.
