Who: Fleur Weasley and Annabelle Rosier
Where: Diagon Alley
When: Monday Evening?
What: A run in of course!
Rating: Er, low for now.

Annabelle enjoyed being able to walk the streets freely, and without worry. If she pleased, her arm could even be shown and she could easily get more respect she deserved. Alas, she was out in public and that meant a small chance of running into someone. So, dark red satin gloves hit her elbows but were mostly hidden by a light coat. Not only did she want to protect herself from the rain, but also the people that had no idea how filthy and gross their blood actually was. That thought made Annabelle cringe and double check to make sure that her arms were actually protected.

When she looked up from her hands, her eyes caught a very blonde and very familiar woman caught her eye. A small grin and she crossed over to make sure they did run into each other. It would be much better that way. Right when the shoulders "accidentally" touched, Annabelle couldn't help but cringe a little. The jacket would probably have to be burned, but that was alright.

"Pardon moi, Madame." It was easy to slip back into French when she needed to. Especially when talking to old classmates. Annabelle couldn't help to speak the others original language, just to lull her into a state of safety. Not yet, their plan wasn't ready and there were far too many witnesses.

Mondays were never a fun day at the bank if only because they were busy. There was a weekends worth of work to catch up on and not to mention everyone made a beeline for the bank come Monday so they could get on with their weekly affairs. It didn't help that people were mingling buzzing about the changes the Ministry had been promising. It made her long to go home where she could wrap up in a blanket and cuddle with her husband.

Fleur hardly looked up when someone bumped into her as it was hardly an uncommon thing, especially when you were part-Veela. Men went out of their way to bump into her even though she had rings on her finger. It was the French that caught her attention. It was not even bad French. It was PROPER French spoken by a true Francophone.

Turning, Fleur was faced with a familiar face. One she hadn't seen in a while. "Annabelle," she said keeping her tone even and steady. It was no secret to either one of them that they weren't on friendly terms. "Comment allez-vous?" Fleur asked simply figuring a polite how are you was best.

Oh how perfect! The very person that Annabelle wanted to see, well, sorta. Annabelle wanted to catch up with her old classmate, but not over coffee or something pleasant like that. Oh no, Annabelle wanted to watch her suffer. But not now, too many people were lurking around. Not that she actually cared what they thought, but too many witnesses was always a bad thing.

"Je vais bien, merci, et vous?" Annabelle would play nice for now. She had to, her plans were to be later. So, just like Fleur, she would ask and be completely proper. She wanted to seem completely normal and sane for the moment. It would be later that she would want to make herself known and bring attention to herself.

"It's been far too long, congratulations on your marriage." Just as easily as she slipped into French, she fell back into English. It was quite easy to do for her.

"J'ai très bien," Fleur told her lightly keeping her voice even and steady. The last thing she wanted was to come off as was rude but it was evident she wasn't going to invite Annabelle home for tea or anything. Typically their conversations were icy and a bit of a snarking match. Fleur blamed it on their need to compete with each other.

Fleur raised her eyebrows and bite her tongue to keep back the retort that popped to mind. It was never long enough when it came to Annabelle but she knew better than to say it. "Thank you." Fleur knew she was lucky, she couldn't have found a better husband than Bill.

"I heard you were still in France. What made you come back to this cold weather?" Fleur asked her. Her curiosity finally getting the better of her even if it was a little upfront.

"Bon." Annabelle's mind was calculating, testing the waters with Fleur. It would be easier to go through with her plan if there wasn't as much animosity between the two. That, and with people staring, Annabelle didn't want anything to seem out of place.

"You are welcome." Not really. Anyone who would marry the halfblood was absolutely disgusting in her eyes. The blood traitors and mix of blood made Annabelle sick.

Oh, it was easy to see what was going to happen, but Annabelle enjoyed it. "Family, my grandfather wanted to come home." That was one reason, and the one that she would use as an excuse. She really didn't think saying that the mark burned her arm if she was away, or that she had far much to do.

"Family, huh?" Fleur said evenly though she really did not believe it or more like did not believe it was the entire story. For as long as she had known Annabelle she had never pictured her as the family oriented person. Family may be part of the reason but Fleur for a second didn't believe it was the entire reason.

"He is doing well, non?" She asked more out of politeness than actual caring. Politeness kept her from asking half the things she really wanted to at the moment.

"What have you been doing all this time?" She had to ask. At least Fleur could lay claim to a good job, a husband, and her family. It was almost everything she had wanted to accomplish and she had done so by the age of twenty-one.
