Who: The Greengrass sisters
What: Shopping
Where: Diagon Alley
When: Wednesday evening
Status: Incomplete

All day, Astoria's mood had changed from depression, to anger - at herself and at Draco, and finally a sense of being numb. The day dragged on, and eventually it dawned on her that she had made plans for the day to shop with Daphne. So, she pulled herself from bed and forced herself to get ready for an evening of shopping with her sister and only hoped to make it through the night without breaking down.

When it came close to time for Daphne close up shop for the evening, Astoria apparated into Diagon Alley and found herself walking through the door with an obviously fake smile. "Busy day?" She asked, sure it was when people were looking to drug others with love potions.

It was closing time and for that Daphne was relieved. If someone asked her for another love potion she was likely to throw one at them. Really she wasn't sure why people were infatuated with them. It wasn't like it was real love or that it least. Give it a day, two if it was a strong one, and it was over and that person would likely never talk to you again. It wasn't worth it in her book.

"Always," she said with a small smile as she turned to see her sister standing in the doorway. "Though we are going shopping so that's alright. It will make us both feel better." Or at least she hoped it would. Retail therapy could be useful.

A genuine grin graced her features for only the briefest of moments before she looked around the shop. "How can you stand to be in this place all day?" That was one thing that Astoria couldn't grasp about her sister. She had more talent in one finger than the actual owner of the shop, she could open her own shop and then she could be in charge and have someone else man the counter for her.

"Hurry up and finish, I'm determined drown my troubles in the shoes store."

Daphne narrowed her green eyes as she studied her sister for a moment. It was a question no one else had asked her before and one she didn't think about too often. "I love what I do." It was as simple as that. She did love making potions for other people and working there she could do that without any of the other paperwork that went with owning your own business, plus the older man was quite knowledgeable about the craft.

"I'm done now just have to lock up." She stated simply as she slung her bag over her shoulder. "Well I hope you plan on buying more than just shoes because it might be a little scandalous if you show up in only shoes." It was meant as a loving tease.

Astoria stuck her tongue out at her sister's teasing words and crinkled her nose. "I won't be showing up anywhere in just my shoes. I'm set for the dinner and the Gala. I've almost finished packing for the Holiday to the beach next week. So, this is a a night to shop for you."

She held the door open for Daphne and waited outside in the Alley until she locked the place up. "So is there any where you'd like to go first?"

Daphne cocked an eyebrow in surprise. "Wow, you make me feel like such a slacker." Between work and thinking about other things she had hardly given a thought to her dress let alone the holiday to the beach. "I mean I hardly remember what I have planned for this weekend."

She gave her sister a smile as she walked passed her. It had been a long week but this was what she needed. A shopping trip just the two of them. "Nope lets hit all the shops starting the farthest away and work our way back." Sounded good enough.

She mimicked Daphne's nod and hooked her arm into her sister's. "Sounds like a wonderful plan. Let's get going." Astoria needed this. She needed to forget about everything that had happened today.

"Is there anything specific you're looking for?" There were just a couple of days left until the gala and she wanted to make sure they found Daphne the perfect dress before it was too late and there was nothing left.

What was it that she was looking for? Besides a dress that was and a killer pair of shoes to go with it. "Well, something purple." Purple said Valentines Day to her but it didn't scream cliché like some of the other colors people would certainly be wearing. "Something a bit sexy without being trashy." There was no excuse for showing up to a function looking what their mum would call easy.

"I can't believe you have yours picked out all ready. I just know I want something long and purple and a little stylish." Which left her with about a million and one options to pick from. It had to have a little bit of sparkle too.
