Gwendolyn was rather amused at the prospect of taking Draco shopping. She couldn't really remember the last time she'd gotten to go shopping with him. Most of the boys tended to shy away from any clothes shopping, at least with girls. Still, they only had a few weeks until they were leaving for Puerto Rico, and it really wouldn't do to go all the way out there and spend the days fully clothed. She'd already spent ages picking out her own outfits and was thankfully done. It hadn't been easy, given her rather limited budget, but she knew they'd look good, besides the important part was that she look stunning, which she certainly would.

Having agreed to meet Draco at the entrance to Diagon, Gwendolyn had hurried making sure that she looked presentable. A freshening up of makeup, and an outfit she knew he'd never seen her in, and soon she was ready to meet him. Checking herself in the mirror one last time, Gwendolyn stepped out of her flat and disapparated to the entrance of Diagon Alley. She supposed she could have walked the short distance up the road, but she didn't really want anyone knowing where she lived, and she certainly wasn't going to let him see her out of breath.

Most of Draco's time right now was idle. When the Dark Lord had no use for him, he didn't have any other occupation to amuse himself with, so he mostly hung around the manor, or waiting for the friends he did have to get off work so they could hang out with him. Consequently, he was at Diagon Alley about ten minutes before he'd told Gwendolyn he'd meet her. Finally, she arrived, looking at deliciously tempting as always. He knew from reading the journals that there was something going on between her and Pucey, but that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy a bit of harmless flirting.

"You look ravishing, as always," he greeted her.

Gwendolyn smiled as Draco greeted her. "Thank you. Look well yourself." She added, her eyes sweeping him. He did look well, better than she last remembered, but then it had been a bit too long since they'd last spent a bit of time together. Then again, she supposed she hadn't spent nearly as much time with any of her friends since the new year. It really was something that she was going to have to change.

"How have you been?" She asked, as she motioned with her head toward the cobblestone path, so they could get started walking. "I haven't seen you around much lately."

Draco didn't like to talk about himself unless he had something worth bragging about, and regrettably, of late, bragging wasn't something he could do.

"Bored. I've been keeping to the manor, keeping our guests comfortable," he said simply, with a tone to his voice that suggested that the conversation should end there.

"So, coffee first, or shopping?" he asked, holding out his arm to lead her into Diagon.

"That's a shame." Gwendolyn said with a shake of her head. He understood his meaning almost immediately, not really wanting to discuss his guests either. It still disturbed her a bit, and she could only imagine how difficult it must be having those guest for nearly four years. "Still, we must find ways to keep you amused. You should come to my play, I'm sure you'll love it."

"Shopping, then we can reward ourselves with coffee, or drinks, if we take that long." Gwen said with a giggle as she happily took his arm. They walked down the cobbles, Gwendolyn glanced at the shops, even though she knew them all now by heart. "Any preference for designer? Or shall we just head to Malkins?"

	He was grateful that Gwen didn't push the topic and set of up the Alley towards the shops. He hadn't been clothes shopping in a long time, preferring to have a tailor come to the house rather than go out. "Malkins is fine, I suppose, unless you can think of someone else," he said, trusting Gwen implicitly. (Reply to this) (Parent)
