WHO: Helen Magnus & (Open)
WHAT: Arrival in Colligo
WHEN: Evening/Night of Sept 6th
RATING: TBA
STATUS: In progress.

She was shaking. Who would have thought that Helen actually could be shaken emotionally? It had been so long that she actually herself forgot. But as she watched James Watson age rapidly in front of her, the long century finally catching up to him, Helen suddenly remembered how frail humanity was. How easily death could take her loved ones away. She could hardly focus as he spoke to Will. All her senses were split between watching him fade away and feeling the tears roll down her face.

God, that was right. She could cry.

She turned to look at John as he placed the vial of source blood in her bag, handing it to her. She was hardly aware of his touch as he grabbed them to take them back to the Sanctuary. Except when she opened her eyes? It wasn't her home. Still clutching the bag in her arms she looked around wildly at the library around her. It certainly wasn't her library.

And before she could react she was taken by men she had never seen and shoved out of the library. Down the steps and onto the streets still wearing the long leather jacket and black outfit, clinging to her bag and somehow holding a PDA. Blinking a few times she tried to pull herself together as she looked around her new surroundings.

"John, where the bloody hell is this?"

John wasn't there. Neither was Will, Clara, Nikola... none of them. Where the hell was she?

Max was still feeling a little bit lost herself, but had moved on from the library and was taking a look at what the city had to offer. She hadn't found where she was supposed to be staying yet, but not having to sleep gave her the luxury of that not being a huge issue.

She heard the woman's question and looked up, realizing she'd made a circle. But that wasn't her biggest concern at the moment - the woman being escorted into the streets was.

"Somewhere not on Earth is pretty much all the information I've gathered," she said to her, a bit sympathetically.

"Not on Earth?" Helen repeated slowly after her. There was a long pause as she tried to make the realization sink in. Except she was rather still disorientated from what had all happened almost literally in a blink of an eye.

With her free hand she quickly removed the tears that shouldn't have been there. Bloody hell, she must have looked horrid.

"And where might we be then?" This time she sounded a bit more cross.

"It's a city called Colligo. We can't leave or we'll get dropped off back in that library," she said, jerking her thumb towards the building behind them - she's already tried it. "But why we're here and how we got here, I really couldn't tell you."

Such sudden, intense emotion from one individual was enough to spark Anakin Skywalker's curiosity (and attention), 'causing the knight to venture away from the woods where he'd been looking for some possible hidden signs of escape. He'd been caught in Separatist areas before where escape seemed near impossible, only to find a method of doing so in the most unlikely, yet obvious, place to know that sometimes you had to step away from the technological part of the holding and go look in the rougher areas of the terrain. That could wait, though, for this troubled mind was singing out so bright and clear, with so much confusion and pain...

He was no stranger to that. He felt that quite often nowadays, though the hurt was substantially less than it was originally. He was healing and he could live with that. It was enough to keep on living.

It was no surprise that he found himself outside the library, staring at a distraught newcomer. He folded his sleeves of his robes. "This is Colligo, a city on an unknown planet in an unknown system. I'm afraid I don't have answers to how you got here and why, just that it's happened to everyone else here."

At the sound of a voice, Helen turned and looked at the man in dark robes. Slightly long hair and certainly with the air of authority. She blinked a few times and tried to hide her tears and distraught nature. Helen knew she was stronger than this. She forced the lump in her throat down before speaking to him.

"I... see. Thank you, sir." Her voice sounded still a little strained and she tried again to bury it all inside her again.

Sir? It'd certainly been a while since someone had called him sir of all things. He was no stranger to being addressed with formalities, but it was usually with master or general, not sir. But, in this strange place, there were people who weren't form his world and thus were unaware of what he was, even if his manner of dress and the way he carried himself would have screamed Jedi to anyone who saw him. It was because of such that Anakin did not bother to correct her. Instead, he took that as an opportunity to introduce himself -- and without the full flourish of the several titles attached to his name. This woman was distraught. There was no need for him to indulge his ego at her expense.

"I'm Anakin Skywalker."

She nodded. "A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Skywalker. Dr. Helen Magnus."

Her eyes glanced around before settling on him again, still holding the backpack close. The source blood was there. If she truly was stuck in this place she would have to find a place to hide it. It caused the Five enough trouble.

Another oddity. Mister Skywalker. Never, had he been called that and for a moment he stared at her as if she'd just told him the sky here in Colligo was bright green and filled with giant gas gulpers. He pushed that aside and offered, "My title is Master. Mister isn't something we, uh, use where I'm from, Doctor Magnus."

"Oh... I see. My apologies then, Master Skywalker." A small smile. Helen felt so awkward at the moment. She wasn't where she belonged, and... given what was happening with everything back home...

"I don't suppose you know a way back home."

Anakin's shoulder's sagged a bit and he shook his head, biting his bottom lip and casting a look at the ground before he composed himself and provided her with an answer. How was it that throwing orders at clones and holding discussions with the rest of the Council was easier than talking to people he could toss out of his way without so much as lifting a pinkie?

"I'm afraid not. Any attempts at escape result in being dumped back in that library." He pointed at it with the hand that was gloved. "I can't sense anything beyond the outer edge of the city. Anything you try to push out just bounces back. There's nowhere for anything to go. ...kind of gives me a headache, to be honest."

Yes, he's being quite literal with all that.

She sighed and shouldered the backpack. Apparently she was stuck here as a crisis happened at home. Brilliant, and just her luck. Helen had the worst turn of luck as it was lately. At least Nikola was willing to cooperate... but then James had died.

... Perhaps it was just best not to think about it.

"Is there anything else you can tell me?"

The Jedi Master sighed and shook his head. "No."

He hated telling people 'no' in these instances. He realized, now, that he took things far too personally, putting responsibility and blame on his own shoulders in much the same way as he'd done throughout his training as a padawan and throughout the duration of the war, as well. Always him who needed to solve the puzzle, who needed to save everyone; always him who got blamed when none of that came to pass, whether it was himself doing the blaming or someone else. Anakin couldn't help but feel that there was someone, somewhere frowning upon him for his actions -- in fact, he knew there was, but not for these reasons.

"Forgive me, but you're...troubled." It wasn't a question.

Was it that obvious? She shifted slightly and glanced away. Congratulations, Helen. Her eyes turned back to the man as she gave a small nod. No point in hiding it if he had seen it after all.

"I am. I came here at a very..." Helen stopped and sighed again. "I lost a very dear friend of mine before I arrived."

It was obvious to someone who was as empathic as Anakin was. It was what had drawn him to her, after all. And at her answer, he held his mind in check and resisted the urge to brush hers with his to see this friend and how the death had occurred. No, it wasn't for him to know and as curious as he was (something he also attributed to boredom and restlessness), he wasn't one to invade someone's privacy, just because he could. He was better than that.

"...I'm sorry. I know what that kind of pain is like." A pause. "You cared a great deal for this person. I can feel it. In instances like this, I think the person would take comfort in knowing they were missed."

A small smile. "He was one of my best friends. One of the few I remained in contact with over my very long life. He extended his life more than he should of. Pushed it for me... and my daughter."

As empathically sensitive as he was, he was bad at displaying it back at others. He kept strong shields up, developed years ago when he'd first gotten married to prevent anyone from sensing anything that might give away his secret. Now, Anakin did his best to push those walls down and send her soothing, calm feelings that he hoped would help.

"I'm sorry," was all he was able to say. He wasn't as articulate as Obi-Wan in these situations, nor full of the advice that Yoda always had for every situation.

"Thank you."

She offered another small smile. Perhaps it didn't show how much it was a comfort at the moment, but it did. Her hair fell over her shoulder as she looked around at her surroundings again. Lost and without a place to stay, it would figure.

"I suppose I'm stuck here for the time being... and certainly without my facilities."

"Facilities?" He didn't know waht she meant by that. "If you check the PDA the guards provided you with, it should tell you what room you've been assigned and if you have a roommate."

The fact that this place came with pre-assigned rooms still bugged the crap out of him. Someone or something was watching, doing this deliberately. Well, Anakin was watching for them in return.

Her eyebrows went up and she looked at the PDA for what he spoke of. An assigned room? This hardly seemed like an accident and more like and abduction. Her eyes narrowed slightly and she looked up at him. She certainly wasn't happy.

"Yes, my Sanctuary. The place I work and live at. My proper home."

There was that frustration again, boiling up in the back of his mind with no proper place for it to go. It wasn't this woman's fault that he felt so irritated with everything and thus, he did not want to accidentally lash out at her in any way because he was pissed off at this place and the situation he found himself in. He wasn't alone in it, but it didn't mean he had to be happy with it. Instead, he directed his senses over to a pile of bricks near the side of a building where there was obvious construction going on and pushed them over, sending them flying into the wall. Obi-Wan would frown at him, but at least Anakin had learned not to lash out at people. He'd done enough of that when Palpatine was screwing with his mind.

"I'm not sure. I'm not sure of anything here, to be honest."

Attention caught by the sudden flying bricks, Helen merely gave a small nod to his statement. She was certain that it was the young man that caused it to happen. Otherwise, logically speaking, it would have happened much more frequently and before he arrived. She looked back at him but... hardly seemed surprise.

"Telekinesis?"

"More or less," was his answer, accompanied with a shrug. "It's one of the many things I can do due to the fact that I'm Force-sensitive."

He should've been used to explaining this, but here, where he was supposedly from this Star Wars film series, everyone knew what the Force was, it seemed, without bothering to ask him. No one had yet questioned his use of the term. Oddly enough, he found her inquiry to be refreshing in comparison.

"The Force is an essence that exists in all living things, sentient and non-sentient. Those of us who are Force sensitive are able to...manipulate it, you could say, within the things it exists. Telekinesis, telepathy, empathy, enhanced speed and reflexes and healing--" No need to mention his visions. "--and electrokinesis, but while I can do it, I don't like to. That's a talent that Sith use, not Jedi."

Needless to say, she was rather impressed and intrigued. Which was a lot to say and yet something not of much to say when it came to Helen. Her entire life was built around solving nature's mysteries.

"In essence then, it is an element of the universe that gives you abilities that most may not have?"

She caught on quickly. He was impressed. The few that he'd spoken to over his twenty-four years who were unfamiliar with the Force had to be given demonstrations and more in-depth and pulled apart explanations before they got it.

Anakin nodded. "Precisely." This next part was just a little tricky. "I'm the most sensitive on record, so I can do things to extents that others like me can't. What you can do depends on how sensitive you are."

"Fascinating." Helen smiled, a much turn about from how she started off in this new place. "I've never encountered such a thing. While it is true that nature will naturally slowly evolve, this is hardly that by the sounds of it. Has it always worked like this?"

Anakin shrugged. "I'm not the best with history, didn't spend too much time in the achieves growing up." Or listening to the tales Obi-Wan told him. Perhaps he should have. "But, the Jedi Order has existed for thousands of years. Our talents have pretty much been the same throughout."

Her head titled slightly despite the cut on her face. Her hair moved against it, causing it a flare of pain. But Helen ignored it. She was always one to ignore pain.

"I see. So it is not so much of an abnormality back home for you than it is for me."

Too bad Anakin's empathy picked up on that pain. He ignored her question and locked his blue eyes on that cut.

"It hurts."

Her eyes narrowed in confusion for a moment before she realized what he meant. Her hand went up to her face, moving her fingers over the cut and blood. It did hurt but, well, Helen was used to pain.

"It does. It's still fairly recent."
