parker succeeds by stealing the success of others ([info]inafivepoundbag) wrote in [info]colligo_threads,
With a huff that was a combination of joking and actually annoyed that he'd managed to beat her, Parker stepped forward and slid her arm through his with a pout. Tucking her book under her other arm, she was completely oblivious to the curious stares from various onlookers and turned her gaze to Noah as they made their way toward the exit.

"How'd you do that?" she questioned after a minute. There was actual curiosity to be found but definitely still a ring of annoyance in her tone. She couldn't help it. Parker didn't lose often so, when she did, she wasn't quite sure how to handle it. And while she wasn't necessarily a sore loser as she was mostly exaggerating, she certainly didn't handle someone beating her with the poise and grace that others might.

Although she did have to admit, if only to herself, that if she were going to lose to anyone at least it had been Noah. He was pretty much awesome and just about everything she'd seen him do, so it wasn't as bad to have him beat her at something.

That didn't mean she was going to let it happen a second time, though.
