WHO: Piper & Prue Halliwell
WHAT: Getting over Prue being dead, filling her in etc.
WHEN: Just after this.
WHERE: The café near the library.
RATING: TBD.
STATUS: Incomplete

They'd agreed to meet for coffee. Coffee was good, Piper could do coffee. She wasn't yet sure if she could deal with the fact that Prue was here. She was alive and... she wasn't dead. It had been hard enough the first time but if she lost her again? Piper didn't think that she could handle that, not a second time. She hadn't been far from the library so getting back to the coffee shop down the street from it hadn't been hard. If this was some sort of joke and it wasn't Prue who turned up... well it wouldn't be good.

Prue was already on her way to the coffee shop by the time she'd sent the suggestion to Piper. When her sister arrived, she was sitting at a table near the rear exit of the store, eying the patrons with a carefully neutral expression. She'd died. If this was Piper, and Prue had no reason to think that it wasn't, then Prue hadn't survived the encounter with Shax. She'd died.

It was a hard thing to grasp and obviously so considering the way she was focused upon that fact and all but ignoring their current situation. The city seemed nice enough and so far she hadn't had a single attack on her life. Maybe this brief respite would be good. Especially if returning home meant facing her own certain demise.

When Piper entered, however, Prue forgot all about her own issues. The sight of her sister offered a balm to her soul and the neutral expression grew into a smile as she waited to catch Piper's eye before giving a little wave.

When she got there and saw Prue's wave she knew that it was her sister, she could feel that it was. Her own sort of worried expression turned into a smile also and she made her way through the store to the table that Prue had found, giving her a big sisterly hug.

"I've missed you Prue."

Returning the hug with vigor, Prue was smiling broadly by the time they stepped away. Holding Piper at arm's length, she did the automatic scan for anything amiss, any changes that may have taken place since she'd last seen her, anything at all that seemed... off, really. Once she was certain that Piper, while admittedly looking a bit older, still looked fabulous and in one piece, Prue released her and re-claimed her seat.

"I... well, I guess I can't say I missed you since I was with you right before I showed up here, but I'm definitely glad to see you," she replied, nose crinkling a bit as she blinked at the odd wording she had to use given their various points in time before their arrival at Colligo. Shrugging it off because really, Prue's life had been odd in general for a few years now, the eldest sister waved down the waitress so Piper could order her own drink.

As she waited for the woman to make her way over, she met Piper's gaze again. "So this place is pretty different, even for us, huh?" she commented. It was the best precursor she could think of to use, given how surreal the entire situation felt.

Piper shrugged off the odd phrasing, wondering exactly which point in the past seven years she'd become more accustomed to hearing those kind of things instead of something more normal. Being here would definitely be a reality shock, though it wasn't exactly normal just peaceful. Which could be nice. She had two of her sisters, one of her kids... no demons. It actually looked pretty good for now. When the waitress came over she faltered over what to order, taking a little longer actually choosing something than she might well have done. Even just going out and ordering coffee, when did she find time for that?

"We've been up, down, the past and the future. You'd think there wouldn't be anywhere left to go." There'd also been the mirror universe and Utopia, but they were other stories and after missing out on four years with Prue she wanted to start slow. And you could hardly blame her.

"There's always somewhere left to go, Piper," Prue responded. It was easy for her, falling back into the light conversation about not-so-light subjects like this. She hadn't been without her sister for four years. She actually hadn't been without her sister for more than an hour.

Her hands wrapped around the warmth of the coffee mug in front of her. The smile on her face was a light one. "So," she finally stated, "come on. Out with it. What all have I missed? How's Phoebe? Leo? What have you been up to?" She could have gone on, peppering the other woman with questions, but she forced herself to stop there. She'd gotten her point across and, while she knew they should probably talk about this place and how to handle the situation they were now facing, Prue was perfectly content letting that subject sit idle for a minute while she was filled in on the parts of her sisters' lives that she had apparently missed out on.

Piper nodded, conceding to that fact. There were far too many places to go, that was the problem. The past, the future, alternate lives, mirror universes and the place in between. None of it was very nice and now here - another world? She thanked the waitress when her coffee was brought over, barely having a chance to drink any before Prue landed a big question on her. Now that's not fair, after four years?

"Where to start? Phoebe's fine, finally killed Cole. Leo and I are together and we've got kids." That was the very short version; leaving out Leo becoming an Elder, them splitting up, getting back together, nearly not having Chris, Wyatt almost becoming evil, the Avatars... oh and Paige. Though from the looks of the network they'd met. She didn't know how far that had gone though. Having a sisterly talk like this though, she'd missed having that with Prue. It could actually be a good thing this.
