Who: Paige Matthews and Riku
What: Riku's been brought to another world. Again. Yes, he's keeping an eye out for Heartless and whatnot.
When: Wednesday, noonish.
Where: Starts outside the library.
Rating: TBD

It didn't take long after showing up in a strange library for Riku to flip his Red Alert switch. This isn't right, he thought to himself. It's over, we won. The fact that they won, however, wasn't going to keep him from staying on guard. Riku was glad he hadn't stopped practicing over the last three years.

Especially when those statues started coming at him. They didn't feel like Heartless or Nobodies, and they didn't quite look the part for some reason, but that didn't stop him from calling forth his keyblade and getting into his stance. "Who are you?" Riku called out, but the fact that they didn't answer as they continued to close in on him was enough for Riku. Charging forward, he attacked them, repeatedly slashing at them even though they didn't fight back. Or take any damage, he quickly realized. Surprised by this, he somehow missed the one slipping up behind him and gripping him by the shoulders, it was only a moment before he was tossed out the door, quickly followed by a PDA that wacked him in the shoulder.

Riku quickly got back to his feet, but by the time he reached the doors they were already shut tight. "What the hell!" he grumbled before turning to look out at the place he'd shown up in. He hadn't been there before, he knew that much. Keyblade in hand, he quickly scooped up the little device that was thrown at him and started down the stairs, thinking he should look for the others. Maybe Sora had been taken too. If nothing else King Mickey had to be somewhere.

If shopping had ever been one of their things, it had always been Phoebe's. Not that Paige didn't like going out and buying new things. In fact, it had always been a must with the constant barage of demons and demon goo ruining clothing. However, Paige had settled on a nice thrift store that fit her her electic style and was most important affordable, for someone who'd spent a good portion of the last few years without a job.

She'd always been too busy to go to the big malls or just too broke, and more often enough-sadly-both. That was just the life of a Charmed One and a half-whitelighter. She'd made peace with the fact long ago. Or for the most part had tried to ... with minimal (or close to it) complaining. However, here there was none of that. And she had a job. With a rather steady paycheck, despite whatever troubles the bank gave her, and most importantly. She had time. Enough time to drive her insane, with the lack of anything to do. Paige had just become way too entrenched in her life style and she was bored. She wasn't quite ready to settle down in a life without saving the world, though she had to admit, the being able to use her magic whenever she wanted was a trade-off. While she tended to get antsy, she was seeing this place as a much needed vacation. She no longer worried about her sisters (ha! that's a good one) as much as she used to, since she'd encountered a Piper from the future where everything worked out with Leo.

There was time, lots of time, to pamper herself. And she'd just come back from trying a routine of relaxation that wasn't home-made. She had to say she prefered the ones she did with Phoebe, and occasionally with Piper, if only because it was time well spent with her sisters. But this spa treatment at Colligo wasn't half bad.

She was walking in the direction of the library, passing it in fact .. or about to, when heard the angered, grumbled exlamation. It would seem there was a new arrival.

Carefully-just because for the most part the people who showed up here weren't evil, didn't mean they all weren't-Paige noticed a young man standing on the steps. "Hey." She called out to make her arrival known. "You alright?" The knights were rough with everyone, but some people lucked out in either escaping or not getting anything bruised.

Riku quickly spun to see who was talking to him. Sure, she looked friendly enough, and sounded friendly enough, but that didn't really mean anything. Riku didn't trust easily, it came from all his time in the Darkness. Just because he'd been back to his regular self for the past few years didn't mean he was going to trust anyone and everyone on sight.

Not that he had been like that before everything, anyway. That was Sora's job.

"I'm fine," he answered, watching the woman warily. Not taking his eyes off her, he sent his Keyblade back to where it came from, not even slightly phased as it faded away into nothing. If he wasn't sure of how fast he could call it back, he would have never put it away in this new place. "I've had a lot worse than getting dropped on my ass. Trust me."

Paige could sense his wariness. Though was a hint of amusement that someone found her to be suspicious but she was getting the feeling that this person had lived a life as eventful as she had, and wary meant survival. It wasn't such an off the mark guessing, seeing as a majority of the people in Colligo pulled from another universe had lived such a life.

She stood, impassively, her pose relaxed, not moving towards him, letting him approach her if he wanted to. Though her eyes did cut to his impressive, and really strange looking, sword type thing. Brows raising slightly before gaze moving towards him. "That seems to be a common thing among people around here." There was slight, laugh in her tone and the words were spoken easy enough, with the tiniest bit of a smile on her lips. "Here is Colligo. Welcome." She said after she pointed towards the sign.

"Colligo," Riku said the name once, thinking back. He already knew that the place didn't look like the other worlds he'd seen, and he couldn't place the name. He hadn't met anyone from here, either. "Haven't been to this world before."

The place didn't look all that unusual. It sort of resembled cities he'd been to in the past, but with differences here and there. But differences weren't that unusual, really.

"Is the king here?" he asked as he turned to look at the woman once more, then realized that not everyone may know which king he was talking about. "King Mickey, I mean."

"Ahh, an old pro." Paige said, looking curious. "So interdimensional travelling is common where you're from?"

She'd been wondering how he did it. Perhaps by magic. What with the way his sword had just disappeared or maybe it was some scientific trick of the eye, that she'd almost missed what he'd said almost. Paige blinked. No way. King Mickey? That ... it sounded familiar. Something one of her kids had talked about but she didn't want to believe that this was the Mickey he was talking about. "No. There's no one here by that name. At least I don't think so." Even if it wasn't, that was the truth. "New arrivals always end up posting a message on the PDA." She said, her eyes falling towards the device in his hand. "I don't remember anyone by that name posting a message, king or otherwise. Sorry." She said, sincerely.

"Only for some." And that was the truth. Most of the people he knew back on the islands were content to just stay there, not even going out to find somewhere new in their own world. Only he, Sora, and Kairi had ever gone to other ones. That he knew of, at least.

When the woman mentioned the message boards he perked a brow at her, a wry smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "I really can't see the king posting on message boards," he said simply, chuckling a bit. "You may have seen him. About waist high, really big ears. He doesn't really blend in no matter where he goes." Riku never really understood why the king even bothered with that coat, especially since he seemed to have it specially tailored so that his ears were covered properly.

Paige gave a sharp nod of understanding. Demons were common enough in her world but that didn't mean everyone knew about them. And even those that did, all of them didn't have the same means of fighting and destroying the that she and her sisters did. "I can get that." She briefly wondered what was so special about him that he could do it but she push the thought away. "Few and far between, has to find a way and keep itself special or everyone'll start calling an interesting mode of transportation passe." Though Paige had to admit, having done it and time travelling a few times her self, she would never, ever find either passe.

Paige gave him a smile, "I'm not usually a big fan of them myself." No time. "But here, it's the best place to find out what's going on. The natives of this town ... they're special. On the message board it's where you find out about jobs, new arrivals, certain activities .. among other things. We've got people from all different worlds and times here ... whether they love it or hate it, the message boards are a necessity, so they learn to get used to it." Plus, Mickey Mouse always caught her as intelligent. He would figure it out. "Uh ..." A bemused expression crossed over Paige's face. How did she tell him that his King was created by Disney? "I'm pretty sure someone like that wouldn't be hard to miss. Seeing as .." Paige paused again. Should she tell him? He might think she was crazy, then again she might not. And with the drama going on over the fictional stuff, maybe it was best to just get over it. Because this guy didn't seem the type to have patience for any type of drama. Don't judge a book by it's cover, but Paige's instincts rarely ever failed her. "Remeber what I just said about people coming from different worlds?"

"Very few, where I'm from." Though, there did seem to be a couple of people from each world that could manage it. Most of them were filled with the Darkness though. "Most people don't know it's possible."

"Of course I remember. You just said it." And then there was the added fact where he had gone on to mention his world as though it was separate from the one he was currently in, which it was, in all honesty. Ah, stupid questions. Riku didn't miss them, not so much. Riku couldn't help the fact that he probably came off sounding a bit harsh just then, but he also didn't really care at the moment. He had just gotten pulled to another world, this time he didn't know how it had happened, and it wasn't supposed to be happening any more anyway. So yeah. he was grouchy. "But I've got a feeling you've got a bit more to say on the subject."

Paige nodded again, interested. "That usually seems to be the case with these kind of things."

At his comment, more than his tone, Paige rolled her eyes. It was valid. He could have been not paying attention. However, she let it slide. This time. "Yeah, I do. In certain worlds some people are considered to be fictional. Where I'm from, and I'm willing to bit where everybody else is from ... unless they're from a dimension where people don't live on Earth, Mickey Mouse is part of the Disney Franchise. Has been since the early 1900's." She waited a beat before continuing. "It's 2009 here, just for reference. "Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto. Almost all of us have watched them on T.V. and in movies growing up. All thanks to the wonderful magic of Disney."

Riku stared at the woman for a moment, a look of disbelief on his face. Fictional. Right. But, he supposed it could be possible, after all. There were worlds he hadn't been able to get to, maybe that was why. "Huh," he started. fully aware of just how eloquent the sound was. "I guess it's possible. I mean, Disney's a castle to me. I know Donald and Goofy, too. They were running around with Sora." He heard the king talk about the others often though, they were part of what kept him going while the two of them were in the Darkness. Or that was how it seemed, at least.

But this still didn't mean he trusted the woman. For all he knew she could be trying to get him off his guard.

"I know it's a lot to take in." Paige said gently, understanding in her firm tone. "But that doesn't make it any less true." Sora. That name really was familiar. "If you want there's probably a disney wiki page, you can look it up on the internet. This place has a internet cafe not too far from here. You do know what that is right?" If he didn't she would either explin it to him or show it to him. Just an orb away. That is if he didn't glare her arm off for even standing next to him, let alone giving into the touching that orbing required.

Riku let out a low chuckle once more at that. "It's no stranger than a lot of things I've had to take in." And that was true. He really didn't find it too much stranger than he found the Heartless, Nobodies, and the other worlds in the first place. But he also found that second bit somewhat funny as well. "Yeah, I know what they are. My world's not as behind the times as a hell of a lot of the backwater worlds I've been to in the past." Honestly. Pirate ships and swinging on vines. Not that he didn't mind jungle type places, he just couldn't bring himself to live like that.

Lucky for him, he'd never had to. He was only in that place for a moment, quite a while before Sora had apparently shown up there. Riku was pretty sure that Sora would have loved that place.

Paige flashed him a brief grin. "I know exactly what you mean." Fictional people come to life? After having to deal with the Headless Horseman, turning into Snow White, and watching Lady Godiva come to life practically before her own eyes ... not to mention a whole lot of other similar situations, this all paled in comparison. She wouldn't have been surprised to find out somewhere there was a show about three sisters who fought demons and dealt with their hectic personal lives.

"Okay. Just wanted to be sure. There's also one not too far from the buildings." She added, figuring he might prefer that. "There are three buildings, they're set up for arrivals. If you look in your PDA it should tell you where you're staying."

Riku perked a brow once more. "That's different," he started, turning to look at his surroundings again. "People come here from other worlds often enough that they have buildings set up for them?" And three of them, none the less. Strange.

He took a deep breath of air then, and it brought a slight frown to his face. It was yet another one of those worlds without an ocean, it seemed. Those tended to be some of the worst. After growing up on the islands, plus having an island that was mostly just for him and his friends when they were younger, he tended to stray away from the landlocked places. "There's no beach here, is there?" Not that anyone would be able to tell by looking at him that he was a beach guy. He just... didn't tan like Riku and Kairi did. He was always pale.

"People show up here like clockwork. No one knows why or for what. But someone wants us here for a reason."

Paige watched curiously, nothing the slight change in his face and wondering if he was sensing for something ... A beach? Huh. That was weird. "No, sorry. There are two lakes here. I think you're free to swim in them. They're drawn pretty large on the map, which is pretty much to scale." Her knowledge on maps wasn't expert. "I've never been to either of them, so I can't say for sure."

People were being gathered? Great. That sure did sound perfectly normal and not suspicious at all. Or it could sound the exact opposite. Melificent had done that, but on a much smaller scale than what this woman seemed to be talking about.

And he was right, no beach. Lakes, while decent enough, they just weren't the same as the salt water back home. And he was already getting sick of getting taken to different worlds again. "Eh. I'll survive," he said with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Never caught your name."

She smiled slightly at his words ... which ended up reminding her of a little tidbit that she'd left out. "Oh, and .. They start you out with one hundred dollars. So that should help with the surviving. It isn't much but if you show your PDA at the bank, they should give it to you."

"I'm Paige. Paige Matthews." She clarified, belatedly recalling there was another Paige around. "And you are?

Riku gave Paige a nod at her comment about the hundred whatevers. Hopefully, she meant munny, not that a hundred munny would get him all that much, but hey, it would be a start.

"Riku," he said simply. He'd never met another Riku before, so why bother with last names? Or, he'd met a Rikku, actually. Sounded the same, spelled differently, but it was hard to get him and that little sprite mixed up for all sorts of reasons.
