Aziraphale wasn't quite sure what he had been expecting. He knew that Castiel had been through quite an ordeal, but it was hard to really tell how the other angel had handled it over an electronic medium. When the door opened though, it was easy to see the distress and pain in his brother in God. Aziraphale felt something strangely akin to the feeling Crowley inspired in him when he looked at Castiel, the desire to comfort a lost soul, and he couldn't help but pull the other angel into a hug.
"Oh but you have been through a great deal, my dear," he said softly, knowing Castiel was probably unused to such shows of affection but also aware that they could be a comfort. He only hoped he would be able to ease Castiel's mind somewhat.
