Who: Lee Adama and OPEN
What: Lee needed a walk/run to come to terms with the fact that in at least one other world, he was fictional.
When: Evening, after dinner
Where: around the park
Rating: TBD, PG-13ish for fake curses?
Status:  In-Progress

The few days since he'd been alerted by one Andrew Wells that he was fictional were not the smoothest for Lee.  He retreated into his new job as an assistant chef (since apparently head chefs needed to be around Colligo for longer than a week) and exercising.  Exercising was part of his daily routine back on the Galactica and one thing that helped Lee calm himself down was routine.  So he had woken up early (practically at the crack of dawn) to go running and to the gym.  Came home, showered.  Went to work.  Relaxed for the rest of the day and slept.  This was his typical routine.  But after he'd gotten home and made himself dinner, he didn't much feel like relaxing.  His brain was on overload wondering about every single thing that the television show had shown people.  Yes, he'd read his "wiki" page, but frak all if he'd read anyone else's.  Or watch the frakking show.  Lee was not about to start breaking that barrier.  It was just too frakking weird to think that his life had been written down moment by moment by some hack of a writer.

It wasn't something he could handle.  So he changed into running clothes, grabbed his PDA and was off until his mind was occupied not with what other people knew about him, but instead with the steady rhythm of his feet hitting the ground and his breathing.  After who knows how long, Lee slowed himself down to a walk.  He hadn't run that hard and long since...since he had to.

She always went walking during the evening in this place. Walking or jogging. Well, almost always. There was no reason for the Angel of Vengeance to be about in Colligo but there was a part of her that grew especially restless during the evening. So out she went. She just liked the night sky. And this one .. well, this one was special, wasn't it?

Andrea went out almost every evening except the time alternate her was walking around this town. Because apparently more than a good book as a reason to stay in. But she wasn't thinking about that, it was avoidance central. Getting mad. Was pointless. Getting drunk? Even more so, even though truth be told she'd really thought about it. And had probably ate all the chocolate in one of the markets in the city. As it was, she was concentrating on everything but the happy life her alternate self had, she just wasn't letting herself feel it.

So tonight, when she ran. Headphone in ears, Linkin Park blasting her ear drums. She was thinking about ... getting her job back. And what she would make for breakfast. And contacting Kara on ways they could keep Lois preoccupied.

As Lee came to a stop, finally, just about the time his mind was going to kick itself back into over-thinking, Lee had seen a woman running. And...a familiar one at that. Granted, the pictures on the PDAs were small, but he could have sworn that was Andrea, who he'd been speaking with a lot. "Andrea?" he called, his breathing nearly back to normal. Lee didn't notice the headphones in her ears.

Pregnant women had cardio right? She really didn't know what pregnant people did .. they, like children, were an entire different entity. Not that she had a phobia that associated them as completely different beings but things were different. No coffee, tire easily, needed a certain diet to be healthy ... Andrea paused in her jogging, taking a deep breath, as she smirked slightly. Her mind was coming up with a lot of comparisons between Lois and a three year old. However, all joking aside things would have to change around the place. And Andrea was willing to help Lois. Like by giving up certain foods, supporting her in a healthier diet. Maybe getting her a lamaze class. A small niggle in the back of her mind, gave her a feeling that those were pointless. Not really a memory ... but a feeling. So she chucked that.

She wanted to help the other woman, keep her distracted from her Sam issues. In doing that, Andrea would distract herself from her own problems. It was all very helpful.

Andrea was once again going to recommence jogging when her zune went to a song she didn't currently want to listen to. She was switching the song when she heard someone call her name. Or at least she thought she had. Taking one of the buds out of her ear, she turned and looked around before spotting someone familiar. "Lee?"

"Yeah," he replied, walking toward her. What were the odds? Well, given the town and the population, the odds were probably not that astronomical. "Do you usually run at night or are you just stalking me?" Lee had a smile on his face. He was clearly joking. It was nice to see someone he'd met on the network in person.

Her lips twisted in amusement, rolling her eyes a little. When Lee reached her Andrea's face went completely serious. "Oh, yeah. I'm definitely stalking you." She said, before breaking into a smirk. "You know, you're the one that "conveniantly" just noticed me. I was the one listening to my music, minding my own business ... You could be the one stalking me." She grinnded slightly, removing the other bud from her ear and then carefully wrapping the cord around her zune. "But in answer of your question .. yeah, I usually run at night. I like it better that way."

"You ran past me," he smirked back. "If you think I'm stalking you, that probably wasn't the best move." Lee's smile turned genuine. "That's probably why we haven't run into each other running. I'm a morning runner."

"I didn't even notice you." A small frown marred her features, but that was gone as quickly as it'd come, being replaced by an easy smile. Usually she was much more aware of her surroundings than that. She would have noticed him, she'd just been more preoccupied than typical. "Work mornings." She said. That and she was just a night owl. "Speaking of work. How's it going for you?" She asked, curiously, genuinely interested.

"I tend to blend into the background now, too?" Lee laughed. Not something he'd had to worry about on the Galactica, that was for sure. "It's been going pretty well. They have me doing the end bit of breakast and all of lunch. One dinner a week. The people there are nice enough, but not very interesting. You can never get an opinion out of any of them. Are you a reporter here?"

"You're like a supersecretsneaky ninja." She corrected with a slight shake of her head. "More one with your environment, than totally unnoticeable." Pushing sweaty bangs off her forehead, she nodded in argeement about the natives. "Some of them can be a bit weird. But some of them ... they're not so bad. I mean, by boss is completely over his head most days. But I think that's just him. At first I was like, oh, my goodness zombie people ... or brain-dead people .. or .." Andrea paused, she'd fumbled. Usually she would have gone on with the 'zombie people' explenation to some it up because it fit and would convey what she was trying to say. But after speaking to Adam, who totally wasn't brain dead or weird other than being differently biotic, she tried to catch herself. She generally tried to be PC for certain things. Like technically, brain-dead wasn't a bad thing, being a vegetable couldn't be helped. Blowing out a small puff of breath from the side of her mouth, she started over again. "At first I thought they were all traditionally zombie-like but, I don't ... maybe I've gotten used to them. Sure some of them are a little too nice and some of them do seem a bit ... opinion-less. But after awhile, it's like every other city. Or every other city I'm used to." She quickly corrected. "Seriously. Try getting an opinion on anything from some random person on the street in my home city. You either get more than you want or you get nothing at all."

Smiling, she continued, "That said. I'll have to stop by during my lunch break then. And yeah, I'm a reporter. Which is good. No internship here for me. But ... well, there ain't much here to report. Nothing big. I guess if I was from a small town or a city where things were relatively peaceful ... like a city on the most eastern of Long Island or something, it wouldn't be strange for me. But where I'm from every minute something is happening. Football. A senator's visiting. Travelling circus. Some rich kid partying too much. Gangs. Police brutality. Fires. Whatever, you name it. Metropolis has it, had it, or will have it featuring pretty soon."

"One with my environment. I'll take that." Lee shook his head. "Zombies. That's so...odd." There were a lot of things that Lee took in stride, but zombies were...very different for him. "That's the way the people at the restaurant are, too. And most of the people who come in to eat. The people on the network are the very opinionated from what I've seen." He shook his head. A bit too opinionated for their own good? Probably. But Lee wasn't ever a fan of silencing people's thoughts and opinions. Even if they were hurtful or wrong.

"I'll try and make sure the food is edible, then." Lee grinned. "Yeah, I can't imagine a sleepy town like this, despite the conglomeration of weird that seems to be drawn here, you'd have a lot to write about."

"It's very zen." She agreed. "You can never go wrong with a philosophy associated with a smiling, bald, chubby dude." She paused, then elaborated. Not knowing what he did know. "Buddah." Shrugging slightly, she said, "You get used to it. Zombies aren't exactly that much stranger than what I'm used to back home." Meteor freaks, zombies. No, not the same league exactly but both things people would a lot to some sci-fi, horror/fantasy film. Actually everything from her dimension came off like that ... now, she sort of new why. Her dimension was some weird alternate reality of a comic book/cartoon. But meteor freaks were real for her ( she was one), so it would make sense that zombies and demons and etc were real as well. Especially the second one. So believing that they exist wasn't that much of a leap. "Yeah, we are. It's what you get when you get such a diverse group of people. Everyone's unique in some way. Even the ones with no superpowers or obvious special skill." Which made sense. If they hadn't been, it was very doubtful they would have been in Colligo to begin with.

"That's good." She grinned back. "It'd be a shame to have to waste my lunch break for the non-edible." Smile widening slightly. "Not unless something big and bizarre happens, like with the demons. And then you're too busy living through that to write a full-blown front page article." But she had, after it was all over, put a small section mentioning it. As big as her boss had let her, she'd been pretty damn insistant on mentioning it. She was human, and a persistant reporter. And after one of those fuckers had tried to take her heart ... she hadn't been fond of the idea of glossing over it.

Lee's face was blank. He shrugged. Buddhism was not something that was on the colonies. There were mainly two types of religion. The multiple gods religion, similar to the ancient Greek of modern day Earth, and the cylon religion believing in one god. "We've got robots created by humans that can think for themselves which evolved to kill almost all of humanity and then chase us across the frakking universe. But no zombies or anything of that sort." Cylons were just something that were very real to Lee. The evolving and chasing across the universe weren't things he'd grown up with, but they definitely were things that he could not forget about. Their existence had always been a given. He nodded. They were all unique. Lee didn't have any of these "powers" but he'd had an extraordinarily complicated life.

"No use in wasting those," he laughed. "Demons. The whole idea of them is just as baffling as the zombies."
