Who: Claire Saunders & Castiel & Sidney Prescott
What: Slow day at the hospital
When: Lunch time
Where: Right outside the hospital
Rating: TBD, low right now.

Compared to the slightly overpopulated and bustling clinic, working at the hospital was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't that Claire particularly disliked helping out at the clinic- just the opposite, in fact. She liked helping people that mattered, people that were not the locals that came here. But, overall, she had felt generally useless when there were already at least the two capable doctors and the nurse tending patients. Also, though she hated to admit it, treating the automatons that were the residents of Colligo was soothing in its familiarity.

However, the emptiness of it sometimes wore on her. She was always on call but they never called her in. When she was there most of the staff didn't even look at her twice. None of the patients were ever very ill. Colds, at the worst. The simplicity and ease of the job was somehow tiring to her. Now, it was her lunch break, and she was sitting in front of the hospital with her legs crossed demurely at the ankles, looking at her lunch. She briefly considered leaving and going home. Probably nobody would bug her about it, or miss her at all. Still, she felt a strange duty to do her job properly, however insignifigant it was in the grand scheme of things.

She sighed as she picked at the salad which was carefully balanced on her knees. It was a slow day, even by her standards.

He had no destination in mind. He just walked, not really seeing anyone, not sure where he was. It did not matter. He had far to much to think about to be concerned with something as mundane as physical location.

Most of the people here were strange, there was something a little unreal about them, while others were very real. These looked vivid by comparison, like a bright light in a dark room.

As he walked past what turned out to be the hospital he saw one, sitting on the steps. He was drawn to her, amongst all the others passing by she was the only one that could hold his attention, the one one who seemed real. She was one of them.

There was something else too. She had a look about her, disaffected, disconnected. This drew Castiel in it's familiarity.
He walked over to her and sat on the steps beside her.

"Your meal is not favourable to you?" he asked.

Sidney had been pointed to the hospital the moment one of the locals saw the blood on her hands (from throwing glass into a wall post recent wacky). But anyone could see how things had affected her: Sidney was more haunted than usual thanks to seeing Ghostface in her dreams once again along with having to reface Randy's death. She wandered into the area nearby, only stopping to fix the makeshift wraps on her hands.

Castiel looked up at see another woman arrive. This one, too, was one of those he had come to thinks of as "real". There was another, more uncomfortable, thought that struck him. That there were people here not of his Father and those that drew in, those in the light, were the only ones possessing souls. He couldn't tell for sure. He was not privileged to such insight. But he did know these were Daughters of God and he would treat them accordingly.

He looked at her hand. She had come to this place for medical assistance. He watched her approach impassively.

Claire started slightly as somebody sat down next to her. She figured it wasn't one of the locals, mostly because they kept to themselves unless spoken to. She raised her eyebrows at him and set her fork down.

"I'm just not hungry." She informed him tersely as she looked him over. She'd never met this man before, and as a rule she was generally wary of strangers. She brushed her hair out of her face and wrapped her arms around her legs somewhat defensively. When he looked up she followed his line of vision and saw the injured girl. Perfectly distraction.

"Hey," She called out to the girl, standing up and beckoning her over.

Sidney came over after fixing the makeshift wraps,"Got sent this way, cut my hands on some broken glass". She decided the simple version would be best unless more info was needed. But her eyes were bigger clues: the recent wacky had triggered her and that sent her into a glass throwing rage (leading to her now cut hands).

The woman on the steps seemed irritated at him. Castiel was used to this response from humans and did not baulk from it. He merely sat and watched.

The girl with the cut hand came and told them something that was half true. Castiel listened. She had blood on her hand. He could make it vanish in an instant but he had no reason to interfere so he did not.

Claire took the wrappings off of the girl's hand to examine it and immediately withdrew the tweezers from her coat pocket, picking at the embedded bits of glass. She cleaned it out as best she could, but didn't have a lot of supplies on her, and eventually had done all she could. She glanced at the man who was still sitting on the steps, just staring at her. She was irked by him, and therefore decided to ignore him.

"You need to go inside and get this cleaned and bandaged." She told the girl, considering going with her. She wouldn't want the girl to deal with the cold locals who worked there. She was obviously in an emotional state. "I'll go with you," She added.

Sidney let Claire work on getting the glass out of her hands, the plates having left a fair amount in its wake. "Ok, do you need the wraps?" meaning the rags she had fashioned into wraps. Both makeshift items were covered in blood and Sidney was indeed pretty pale but nothing too nasty (minus the raw eyes from nightmares of Ghostface).

Castiel watched the woman work. He knew her name. He knew both their names but people tended to find it unsettling when he let on that he knew their names.
Claire He said in his head. Like his momentary host. He kept the name from Jimmy out of consideration.

The other girl appeared to be in pain. This bothered Castiel. Even though she was not his charge it would be such a small thing to help her.
He stood up walked over to Sidney.

Castiel was not one to impose and it was becoming apparent to him his presence was not appreciated but he had one thing he could offer before he left.

"There is no need to suffer that," he said. He looked down at her hand. "Do you wish it gone?"

"No, no," She mumbled, taking the blood soaked rags from the girl. She was momentarily tempted to ask her exactly what had happened, because the whole situation seemed a little bit suspect to her, but refrained. She could take care of that after she had tended to the girl's wounds. That was her job, she reminded herself. Fixing people's bodies, not their minds.

Claire immediately shifted away from the man as he approached them. She didn't like to be close to people, especially when they snuck up on her. Resisting the urge to glare at him, she instead focused on the girl's wounds, until he spoke. She scoffed very slightly, even though she knew there were plenty of the magical types running around. She personally didn't like the idea of healing being done magically, it seemed like cheating to her, but she was if nothing else curious as to what the stranger could do to help. "Go ahead," She said to him, nodding towards the girl.

Sidney was thrown for a total loop and it showed. Her eyes spoke volumes,"I can't, I deserved this" finally getting the words out in a whisper. She knew not many would understand Ghostface unless they were in her shoes so to speak. But something in her decided she had to try,"Look, recent weirdness triggered a ton of things for me".

"It is not for me to judge whether you deserve this pain. You may choose to keep it if you wish but I do not think you would have come to a place of healing of you wanted to endure it further." His voice was gentle, his eyes were kinder than the stillness of his face seemed to allow.

"If you are in trouble perhaps it will be a little easier to managed without this one small thing." He took her hand in his own. They were warm, soft, unmarked. His touch was brief, only a moment, but the effect was complete. The wound, the blood, were gone as if they had never been there. He left a feeling of well-being behind as an unconscious by-product.

He released her hand with a tiny smile. "It is done."

Sidney was still pale from the blood loss but even she was thrown for a loop. "If I spill the dark inside my head will you two not see me as bonkers? Because for me Ghostface was real and I had to kill in self defense at least twice because of him" she finally whispered.

Castiel cocked his head at Sidney. He was having trouble understanding what she said. He did not know what Ghostface was but he knew it frightened her and that she wasn't lying.

"You speak the truth," he said simply. "To kill to defend your life is not a sin. You will not be judged for that," he added mildly.

His concern caused him to ask, "Are you being pursued?"

Claire crossed her arms as the two of them spoke, her gaze shifting between them as they replied to eachother. Her eyebrows were slightly raised in disbelief as she looked Sidney's hands over one last time. Satisfied that they were properly healed and it wasn't just some illusion, she decided to let the matter go.

"Who's Ghostface?" She asked, absently checking the girl's pulse, kind of on her default doctor autopilot mode.
