"Big bad scary son that has ever reason to hate her and absolutely no reasons to give her a chance," Uhura said with a slight shrug of her shoulders. That didn't make avoiding it the right thing to do or excuse it at all. But at least it give Uhura a decent idea exactly where Jim had apparently inherited the trait. Not that he would appreciate her pointing that out, she was sure, so she just kept that realization to herself as she frowned and nudged his shoulder lightly, careful not to fall off the bar stool that she was sitting on.
"What other one? Who am I going to have to kick?" Uhura asked, lifting an eyebrow at Jim curiously. His mother wasn't too surprise, she supposed, considering the issues that he had seemed to have with his parents both showing up in the first place, but someone else? Who would Jim even be that close to here that it would matter?
"You do know that if you ever need us, Spock and I rarely leave our room for very long at a time," Uhura said, looking over at Jim and silently praying that he didn't decide to turn that into a taunt. Or hell, maybe it would be better if he did. At least it would mean that he wasn't sulking.
