WHO: Violet and OPEN
WHAT: Another Night of Moon Research

After her chat with Seven of Nine and seeing that it was her 16 year old self that started the telescope project Violet decided another night of work was in order. "Something must have gone wrong with the lens system" as she switched out the probme lens with one she had found in the nearby junkyard. But Violet has an even bigger problem: being alone in the apartment gave her way too much time to think and along with projects she had to unravel why Count Olaf was back in her dreams.

"Too curious, something about the orbit. Do need to speak with Miss Seven of Nine again" making a note as she worked.

Lee was walking outside, getting a feel for the area. It was dark, but he didn't mind. Looking out at space made him feel almost at home. The star alignment was completely different here. He wasn't sure he could even find a point of similarity from back on Caprica. Or even on Kobol. Or either of the Earths.

He entered the park and found a really nice spot to view the stars from. It was nice just looking at them for a change. Just being calm for a moment or two. He needed to get a job. Just as he was finding a perfect place to get a view, he saw a young girl with a telescope. "Wow, that's...impressive," he said, smiling. He wondered if she made it all by herself.

	"Thank you" came Violet's accented voice as she worked. "Built it myself, a bit tricky since parts are a bit hard to come by but beyond a few minor problems its working like a dream" as she made some notes in her notebook. "So a rumored second moon," Lee smiled. He took the notebook, looking at it, with most of it going over his head. "Sometimes. I'm quick enough to understand things, but I'm a viper pilot. I leave working out coordinates to the physicists. I'm good at strategy and legalese, though," he laughed. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Baudelaire. I'm Lee Adama." He held out a hand.

	Lee paged through it. Some of the things he didn't recognize. Some were commonplace back on Caprica. And some, some were just completely brilliant and he wondered why no one had thought of them before. "I was. For a good portion of my life. I grew up into it. "Sort of. An admiral is basically the person in charge of all the ships in the entire fleet. Which, for us, was the rest of the human race. It's the military equivalent of president, I suppose. He's who everyone answers to. The top of the command chain," Lee explained. The ins and outs of military life were as commonplace to him as anything, having grown up with his father in it already. "Who is Klaus?" He nodded. "This place seems to put a lot of life on hold."

	Violet nodded as Lee spoke, piecing things Klaus had told her about via his books. "Klaus is my younger brother and he loves books the way I love science" thinking of her younger brother. "He had been reading one on the Royal Air Force once and was explaining things to me as he went. As for school I was due to start classes at Oxford in the fall, science major". "Ah." Lee was quiet for a moment. "My younger brother had a thing for books, too." It was true, Zak couldn't get enough of them. Lee shook his younger brother from his thoughts. He'd been there an awful lot lately. "The Royal Air Force? I think that would be as similar to Colonial Fleet as you can get on some worlds. Oxford. That's a university?" Lee was pitifully under-informed about all things Earth-related.

"I'm not sure what time period I'm from compared to Earth, if that's where you're from. Or if it's the same dimension at all. I could tell you in Caprican years, but that's unlikely to be helpful to anyone here." Lee nodded in return. "Well I'm not sure how good the schools are here, but it might be nice to keep up with studies for when you do get back." When, not if.

No technology, indigenous people without a real language or culture. Lots of wildlife." Lee smiled, wryly. "I can only imagine. I've only been here a short while and already I found myself a job.
