As panicked as he was about his own eyes, even Sam could not deny the shock that flooded through him when Crowley took his sunglasses off. Yellow. Eyes. He stumbled back a few steps, dark eyes widening in shock. For a half second, Sam actually that that he was standing in the kitchen with no other than Azazel himself. How ironic would it have been if that very same demon had turned up to offer him his blood all over again? But no. Upon further examination, Sam could see that the eyes were different. This was...he was a different brand of demon.
"I - sorry." Sam looked at his eyes for a moment longer before tearing his gaze away. "I thought you...the eyes. They reminded me of someone."
He'd have to get sunglasses. How had he not known about his eyes getting dark like that before? Because Ruby didn't tell you, Sam told himself. And that wasn't a very big surprise at all. The shades would come in handy for after he drank the blood. Sam didn't think he'd need them as often as Crowley did. If that were the case, Sam would have known long before. Dean would have freaked on him. The eyes had to have been temporary.
