"Thanks," she replied to his compliment. "Personally, I don't see why people have to be such jerks all of the time. Though, like I said, that's not all that common here. There are a few, but most everyone is really helpful and nice. We're all stuck in this thing together, after all."
When he asked about Victor, she hesitated. Her smile faded to a thoughtful expression. Going over the recent posts she'd seen on the boards, she slowly shook her head and peered back at him with a small frown. "I don't think he is," she said softly, gently. "Or at least, I haven't come across him." And while admittedly Claire's life had been rather hectic as of late, she'd like to think she would've noticed that.
"But," she added, "he might show up. I don't think there are too many here from their own reality that are alone, anymore. Most everyone has someone from back home here too." Granted Priestly had been here for nearly half of a year before Jen had arrived, but she wasn't going to think about that right now. She wanted to think positive.
