Chekov turned to look at Sulu, and gave him a small smile along with a shrug. "It was no problem," he said simply, as well as honestly. "While you were hyper, you were also rather well behaved."
But really, not everyone had bonded quite as well as Sulu thought they had. Chekov still didn't feel like he quite fit in with the others. It wasn't that he thought they didn't like him or anything like that, he still felt just a touch awkward around them. It could have been the fact that he was so much younger than everyone else, which didn't bother him so much as made things a little... off. Chekov had always felt like that though. Came with the territory of being so young and in the position that he was in.
