Anakin paced back and fourth in front of the window in the room he now shared with just his daughter--a room that was outfitted more like the room he'd shared with Obi-Wan at the Temple before the older man had been made a Master and he a Knight than a place of residence for 'normal' people. But, he supposed, it would have to do. Anakin, himself, wasn't beyond sleeping in a tree or under a bridge or on the roof of a building--he was a Jedi knight, after all, and quite used to roughing it and making due with his available options--but he did not like the idea of his daughter being without a roof over her head.

It was odd, only sensing her small, yet larger than life, presence here. He'd grown so used to feeling the presences of quite a few Force-sensitives--though one, he would not miss. The presence of the ancient Sith, Exar Kun, being nowhere to be found was a blessing that he would forever be thankful for. Whoever brought him here would receive his momentary cooperation (meaning that he would hold off on escape attempts for the time being...at least, for a little while) in lieu of the fact that coming here had stopped the dark man from tormenting his daughter in her dreams.

He understood why Leia hadn't spoken up, but it still bugged him that she didn't come talk to him. Part of him, however, was grateful she didn't. The last thing that little girl--or anyone--needed was him getting worked up and confronting Exar Kun again before they'd figured out how to properly deal with him.

But here, that wasn't a problem.

And here--Anakin sighed heavily--his wife wasn't with him.

He tried not to think too hard about the probability of her still being in Los Angeles versus her having been sent back home. Focusing on Leia helped with that.

Halting his pacing, he turned to her and regarded her with a warm, loving smile. In the face of all this darkness threatening to consume him, she was his bright light that kept it all at bay.

Perched on the edge of her bed, her legs swinging idly back and forth, Leia was curiously browsing through the information available on the PDA she'd been given upon her arrival. She'd probably gone through it at least a dozen or more times since the moment it had been dropped in her lap, but she kept right on going back to it on the off chance that something new - something of use - would show up. So far she hadn't had any luck but she wasn't going to just give up quite that easy.

The fact that she'd been able to sleep helped with her perseverance. In fact, within an hour or so of showing up in this strange city, she'd crawled into the bed she'd been assigned and had slept for the entire afternoon, evening, through the night, and well into the next morning. Even then she'd only woken up because she was too hungry for her stomach to remain silent, but had stayed awake in the hopes of getting her sleeping schedule back on track. Not that such a thing mattered all that much in a place like this, but the knowledge that once again such a thing was in her power rather than Exar Kun's was an exhilarating feeling.

Her breath hitched in her throat as she accidentally closed the program she'd been scrolling through while she'd allowed her mind to wander to her initial arrival. With a furrowed brow her thumb flew across the touch-screen as she went in search of the program once again. "Oh... Sithspit," she muttered when she didn't see it at first glance before sighing heavily and setting the PDA down at her side. As though just remembering that she wasn't alone in the room, her gaze instantly flickered to Anakin and she flashed him a smile.

"I went as far back as the message board will let me. Not one single mention of those holos anywhere," she exclaimed. Drawing one of her legs up and tucking it underneath her, she admitted, "I'm not sure if I can remember how to act around people who haven't had their minds filled with all that Star Wars poodoo."

Despite it all, Anakin couldn't help but chuckle at her statement. He had to admit, it was nice not to be noticed because of his fictional fame here. If people did recognize him because of it, they didn't show it or point it out--something he was grateful. Such had been getting on his nerves back in Los Angeles, especially in regards to his future as Vader.

A future he was bound determined to avoid. He wasn't the dark monster that fate said he should be. He wasn't.

Anakin moved away from the window to sit down next to his daughter, peering at her PDA.

"Really now? Not a one?" He offered her a teasing sort of smile. "Good for us, then. Saves me from having to come up with fake names for us and dying your hair bright green."
