Commander William T. Riker of the Enterprise had seen a lot in during his many years of service aboard the fifth and sixth ships to bear that name, but the sight he was seeing above him was definitely something he'd yet to encounter. It was what many aboard his vessel and from his home state of Alaska would label as something that brought them as close to a true religious experience as anything ever would, but something that Will, himself, merely regarded with a sense of honest curiosity and fascination. Who was he to deem that such a thing was incapable of existing? This place existed and the majority of new species he'd helped make first contact with were far stranger than this person would ever hope to be. After all, the fellow just had a pair of wings. That was normal compared to the things he'd seen.
"Nice night," he offered up to the guy after he'd landed, shutting the tricorder he'd had out and had been taking readings with, returning the device to his belt.
