At almost the exact moment that Jim had the realization that sensors had detected another moon, Seven received as close to confirmation as was possible upon the smaller computer screen she was monitoring. Her own gaze flickered briefly to his and she tipped her head ever so slightly in confirmation. "Affirmative," she responded simply, "readings confirm. It appears to be partially obscured, however a number of factors could be responsible for such a determination."
Her lip curled slightly in a mixture of frustration and disgust as she added, "The antiquated technology prevents us from making a more accurate determination." Really, it was almost too much to bear at times, the things they were forced to work with. She was from a time much further advanced than even his. She had once been Borg. She had never had such things as common place as the scanning of nearby moon be an issue.
Seven's attention turned back to Jim at that point, blue eyes meeting his and her features once again calm. Her tone was once more slightly aloof. "Regardless of the lack of information, the fact that this is a second moon clearly indicates we are not located on Earth." Which was precisely what their original hypothesis had been based on the slightly misaligned stars overhead, but now they at least knew it for certain.
Unfortunately, they were still no closer to determining where they actually were located.
