Stefan was a confused man. Asaph had played his games, and that was par for the course, except that he had left Stefan with memories of things he hadn't done yet when he had first arrived. He wasn't quite sure how to deal with the new information. He wasn't even sure that he wanted to deal with them. Elena was still confused over Elijah, even though he was pretty sure that she knew she had chosen him in Mystic Falls. She knew, and that was the bottom line. She hadn't told him. He didn't want to think about it anymore. He wanted to go out and have a nice afternoon with a girl that he liked, who liked him, without carrying a torch for someone else again.

He picked up his coat and left his apartment, walking over to Kristina's. She had some issues, but so did he. She understood his addiction, and he didn't have to hide it. He didn't have to tell her that everything was fine, even if he was doing a lot better now. He knocked at her door, leaning against the wall on the other side as he waited. He had a plan for this date, but Asaph's game had ruined it. Now he just wanted to go do something, even if they would make up the plan along the way.

Kristina wasn't sure what to think about Asaph's newest game, and wasn't happy this one effected her. With a deep breath she stared into the mirror taking in the sight of her reflection. She had accepted Stefan so easily because he was a lot like her. He understood things no one else would, and he had been gentle to her. He hadn't treated her like an object like every other male, and he liked her not Bree.

Biting her lip, contemplating on breaking the mirror, Kristina heard the knock. Quickly she fluffed her hair around her face and wiped a stray tear from her cheek. Opening the door a crack she stuck her neck out and saw it was him. Stepping out of the way she allowed him in. "Hey, suprised to see you here..." Her voice was soft and almost wavered.

"Why are you so surprised? I told you I would take you out. I wasn't joking." He wanted to go. He needed something to help him unwind and not think so much. There were too many things to think about, and none of them made sense.

"How have you been? I'm sorry this last master plan of our host has had us strangers." He could feel the awkwardness. Asaph had ways of doing that, and it really wasn't fair.

"Let's get out of here," he said. "We can talk on the way. A walk around the lake sounds nice."

"I just thought after everything that happened, maybe you weren't interested anymore." Kristina gave a half hearted smile as the words left her mouth. Looking down she was relieved the jeans and tight t-shirt seemed appropriate. With a soft sigh she reached over and hugged him burying her head in his shirt. "It feels really good to see you." The words were a fact but something in her hurt.

Quickly she headed out of the room and towards outside. As the cool air hit her a deep inhale kept her senses about her. Kristina really wanted to scream out but that part of her was Bree and she wasn't ready to lose control
"I have been alright keeping to myself really." Looking down at the ground she but her lip nervous about how the day will end. Seeing him flirting with his ex and telling her he loved her had taken its toll on her.

Stefan felt guilty about everything. He couldn't help it. He thought he and Elena were done, and that she didn't have the same hold on him. He was wrong. He knew he was still getting over his feelings for her, and now he had to start again without her. If he was binging, it would be easier, but he was keeping control over the need to destroy himself. "It's good to see you too," he said with a weak smile.

"I think the lake would be nice," he offered, handing her a coffee. "It's a mocha. I thought you might like some." He felt the need to apologize over and over again. He had done that so many times after one of his snaps. "You look nice."
