WHO: Dean Winchester, Lucifer, & Meri Winchester (with a cameo appearance by Adam Young) WHAT: Lucifer is his usual "genial" self. Dean isn't really in the mood to play nice. Unfortunately, Meri ends up in the middle. WHEN: October 15th; Evening WHERE: The Communal Lodgings RATING: R (violence, callous disregard for human life, character death) STATUS: COMPLETE
Lucifer had plenty of practice in sitting and waiting. More than his fair share, he would be willing to say, and while he wasn't too keen on just sitting around and allowing whatever machinations were behind this plan of his Father's unfurl themselves naturally, he didn't seem to have too much of a choice in that matter. The people who tried to leave the city only seemed to end up right back where they started, and he wasn't about to risk being blasted into the nexus of nowhere just because he couldn't sit still. Besides, there were plenty of things to poke at here to keep him entertained. Adam had been fun, taunting him and threatening until he'd finally succumb to Lucifer's wishes. Mini golf had been enjoyable in and of itself, but Adam's terrified face as he was forced to play each round had just been the icing on the deliciously wicked cake.
And now, Lucifer was going for the ice cream chaser that was having a go at Dean Winchester.
The man seemed different from the last time he'd spoken to him. Harder, more weary. But really, as difficult as the varying degrees of broken little boy in Dean were to tell apart, Lucifer could still spot that there was something that had happened that he didn't have the knowledge of. And Lucifer was quite intent on filling that gap in the best way that he knew how: whacking the pinata until it breaks.
Sidling up next to the elder Winchester outside the communal building, unsurprised by his seeming unease at being cooped up with so many people at once, Lucifer shot the man a playful grin as he pushed himself in uncomfortably close, just drawing the line at throwing an arm around Dean's shoulders. He was taking a risk as it was, getting within arms length of the man. He wasn't about to give him something to hold onto in order to save an angel killing blade in between his ribs without him being able to twist away. "Dean, Dean, Dean. No baby brother, I see. Did you lose him, too?"
