It had been pretty easy to sneak out. Too easy. Sirius was used to smuggling himself and his brother past a whole barrage of things in order to gain a few hours of precious freedom, the most difficult being a mental House Elf. But Kreacher wasn't here and She wasn't here and in fact the only person who was there was that Remus bloke and his jumper, neither of which had appeared to pay much attention to Sirius making a dash for it.

He'd made his way to the park, mostly by luck, and had quickly found one of those muggle playgrounds. He'd seen them a load of times, but had never been allowed to have an actual go. She'd always said that they'd mix with the wrong kinds of children and anyway, they were dirty. Sirius figured they couldn't be any more dirty than the cellar or attic of their house, and She had no problems with him going there. Anyway, he didn't much care what his Mother thought these days. Sirius had recently began to think that there was something... not very nice about some of the things She said.

He might not be worried about being apart from her, but one thing was bothering Sirius Black. Regulus. His little brother wasn't here, and that made him very uncomfortable. Regulus was quiet and careful and needed someone to look after him, or at least direct trouble in another direction, so that he'd be safe. What was happening to him now that Sirius wasn't there?

The young wizard bit on the inside of his cheek nervously as he sat on top of a swing, purposefully dragging his carefully polished shoes along in the dirt below until they were scuffed and dusty. Then there were footsteps and he looked up, recognising the boy he'd been talking to on the muggle box. The Potter. Sirius narrowed his eyes in his direction, not too subtly sizing him up before he decided to speak.

"Hi."

The last few days had been very interesting for James. He'd woken up in some strange flat with an even stranger guy, who talked really weird. He'd spent the first few hours only talking to Hatter on the Network, because Ginny had told him, Albus and Lily never to talk to strangers, so in a way he'd listened. It hadn't taken James long to figure out how to use the PDA; after all, Harry did have a mobile back home and Jamie had used it on more than one occasion to play games. Since that first day he'd actually spoken to Hatter, but he still didn't get many answers, so he'd taken to looking over the Network and all he'd found out seemed almost too crazy to believe, but it seemed like everyone did actually believe that they had been brought to Colligo by some god and currently he was messing with everyone's ages.

When his PDA had turned itself on and he'd overheard the conversation between Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, James couldn't help but become extremely curious considering, he knew that he was named after his grandfather and Sirius Black. Not only that, but Teddy's last name was Lupin and Jamie knew that Teddy's father was dead, but if it was the same Remus Lupin then he was very not dead.

Jamie's curiosity about the other boy was too strong and once he'd figured out how to only talk to one person in the conversation between Sirius, Remus and the other woman, whose name he hadn't caught, he'd suggested that he and Sirius meet up, which was what had led James to the park where Sirius currently was, "Hi. How'd you get out?"

Sirius shrugged, wrapping small, pale hands around the chains of the swing and letting his dragging feet put a stop to his lazy swinging. "I just went," he replied, as matter-of-fact as it was possible to be about stuff. Sirius had got in trouble enough times at home for it not to hold any real sway over him any more. He tilted his head a little, dark hair falling over his forehead. His mother was always telling him to get it cut, but Sirius hated having his hair too short. "What about you?"

He was curious about the other boy as well. He was supposed to be the other Potter kids grandson or something. Sirius didn't know much about the Potter family, apart from they had a boy his age and they were one of the bloodtraitor families that didn't get invited round. Sirius examined the other boy closely, half expecting to see horns or a tail or something. From the way people spoke about them they should be some kind of monster. But he just looked like a normal kid. Sirius tried not to show the small bite of disappointment. After all, it would have been cool...

"I just left too," It wasn't as if Hatter would have tried to stop him. At least he didn't think he would. The man seemed so confused about what to do with Jamie, so he didn't think that he'd even know how to stop him from leaving. James moved closer and took a seat on the swing next to Sirius, "So, are you really Sirius Black?" It was odd to ask that question, but he was curious. It was weird to think that this could be one of the people that he had been named after, but also extremely cool at the same time. He'd always heard stories from his father about Sirius and his grandfather, and he'd always thought that actually getting to meet one or both of them would have been pretty awesome, so getting the chance to meet Sirius when he was the same age as he'd been when him and his grandfather had become friends was something he'd never in a million years have thought would happen.

Sirius swung himself round so he sat sideways on the seat, facing Jamie and clutching the metal chain between both hands. In a gesture that was a bit too old for his age, one eyebrow inched up a little bit. "Yes," he said. Then, after a moment's thought, he added. "The Third." Because there had been Sirius Blacks before him and he didn't know if he'd done anything yet for this kid to know who he was. Maybe he did something really, really cool in the future, but right now he was just waiting to go to school.

"You really from the future?" he asked, shaking his hair back from his eyes and fixing the other boy with a curious gray stare. It probably was a weird thing to say, seeing that as far as Jamie was concerned he was from the right time, but Sirius didn't think it through

"Yeah, I'm from 2015." Jamie swung back and forth slowly, looking back over his shoulder at Sirius as he did so. It was a little weird to be back in the past, even if it was only a few years, cause in 2012 James had been seven. It had been explained to him that he was actually supposed to be living in this city and that he was older, but he didn't understand how he had come to live there in the first place, especially with a guy who was supposed to be The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, "What year are you supposed to be in?" If this was the Sirius Black that who was his father's God Father then he would have come from the seventies. At least Jamie was pretty sure that was what his dad had said.

2015? It sounded impossibly far away to Sirius. He could barely think past starting Hogwarts, let alone as far away as into the next century. The Black family were hardly great lovers of moving with the times at the best of times - most of them would be happy if nothing ever changed again. He narrowed his eyes at the other young man. He didn't look very futurey. He just looked like a normal boy. In the future shouldn't people have wings or something? But then, Potters had turned out to be rather unremarkable to Sirius in the last hour, so why shouldn't other things?

"1969," he said. "I go to Hogwarts next year." He turned his nose up a little, subconsciously mirroring the proud 'pureblood' look that his parents occasionally brandished around Diagon Alley when a mudblood got too close. Sirius hesitated for a moment, before dropping the expression without a second thought and turning back around, kicking himself a little further off the ground so the swing started to swing more dramatically.

"How come you have my name in your name?"
